If you're holding a bitcoin debit card, then accepting your salary in bitcoin would be more beneficial than getting it in fiats as of now. Because, in my case I am converting my salary into bitcoin for my saving and for gambling spending. If I do directly get bitcoins that would save more time for me which is usually occurring with conversion.
But how you can fill up your daily needs, are you sure, you can exchange your bitcoin into the fiat for everytime you needs?
and does it's just waste a lot of your time, it's fine for your to accept your salary into btc but you need to consider about next problem you can get from that.

Thing is, there isn't an economy built around Bitcoin yet; so i can't spend BTC to pay for my daily needs; at least not here in France.
thats true, people cannot use their bitcoins right now and i think that it might not be solved in the near future though people should still get salary in bitcoins in order to help bitcoin get bigger

I think that issue will be solved sooner and we will be able to use bitcoin for our daily needs as we are seeing from now a lot of companies every day emerge with the payment system of bitcoin, and if it continued with more faster speed then you will see that everywhere bitcoin will be accepted for the businesses.

I dont think that BTC will thrive with merchants and customers with 1 hour confirmation times like what we see now.
Lol, 1 hours? i don't think so because until this time if i making any transaction the first confirmation just needed 10 minutes to get it.i don't ever feel that. maybe there is a problem still you get any hour to get any confirmation.
Yes true the transaction not more than 10 minutes to confirm that is why i use bitcoin always to pay my bills even in online shop. I think also there is a problem in your transaction. i think in your bitcoin wallet.
If I transfer fiat money online to my wife it takes overnight, and a credit card takes a few days to reconcile on my account - so BTC is actually better than the current banking system. The only issue I see is scalability if the coin is adopted by the masses the blockchain will be far too big to handle

yes i can accept btc as salary but it depends on current rate..it so volatile.as long the company pay me in bitcoin and there is no issue then. I will accept this as salary.

Well it is risky though the price is fluctuating and that's a 50/50 chance if you are going to accept bitcoin as salary. Just like what happened yesterday if your salary is $580 then yesterday the price did fall to $550 so you lose already $30 but the good thing about it is that you are going to have a chance to get higher too if the price fluctuates higher.
Okay, it's not a problem if he wanna to receiving their salary as bitcoin form and just for holding it or investment and not using for the daily needs or he's living. it's fine.

then what is he going to use for daily use? that salary will be his source to buy things he needs
receiving your salary in Btc will bring extra Hassle to him. it would be so dumb to receive your whole
salary in bitcoin and just hold it and risking you hard earned money on a currency that is unstable.

You hit the real point here. Why not just buy bitcoin in some online wallet or exchange. That is possible now, and the good thing is you're the one controlling it to when or where you will buy. (where = because not all exchange have the same price.)

I think there is a difference between getting paid in bitcoins and having a salary stated in bitcoins. It depends on business model of the company. No company that is not involved with bitcoins would want to take the risk of bitcoins rising to the moon. I guess they would just convert your salary on the payment date from Fiat to BTCs.

Pay employees with bitcoin I think I might not agree. Giving someone a salary to be fixed according to their abilities. If the company pays the bitcoin it could be beneficial and could be detrimental. But if the price falls that could be detrimental to employees. If you want to use in the real world may bitcoin is more appropriate if only a way of provider payment to buy things not to pay employees.

I guess being paid using bitcoin is very profitable, well that's because the salary was done very quickly. other than that you can use it to trade salary and increase in number, or you can hold him for a long time so the price goes up and then you bitcoin exchange rate with the dollar. I guess it's also a good way to increase salaries

once i get my salary i will use it for many purposes, i will manage my money according to my salary, if the price of bitcoin is high i will get an amount more than my salary and if the price is low i cant manage money, definitely i will suffer. so it is good to get salary paid in our currencies.

Yeah, that is certainly true. Because with so we can get a very high salary in a price increase that bitcoin is very high. However this will be bad for our payroll when the price of the bitcoin down. But I think that if it is put in place then all companies will definitely wear a benchmark currency in their respective countries, so it is profitable for us only if you have the patience of a high

Interesting question bitcoin as salary ? Well for me there is no problem with using bitcoin as payment. the real problem of bitcoin is the volatility of it. But if you'll already have local wallet and bitcoin wallet like coins.ph who already had. You can send direct to local currency so the problem of the volatility of bitcoin is solve. You only decide what you want local currency or bitcoin.

The question actually is not interesting as bitcoin salary, especially if you are an employee. In the philippines if you are one of the employee here it will be to risky to their part to accept that. LIke example your salary monthly is 300$ then after an hour all of a sudden the bitcoin down goes to 200$ will you be happy?so Right now its not time yet to do that into our country,. Smiley

Agree and yes. It will just be useful if all products in the said country are dealing most with bitcoin and not on fiat currencies. Let's say bitcoin market, bitcoin shops etc. It will not consider by most of the companies that deals mostly in fiat in their business since price volatility in bitcoin is really active every minute.

Bitcoin cannot be fully controlled at all. It can get banned, and therefore less people would use due to it's illegal nature. But as some offshore countries allow money laundering, Bitcoin will be always there if there's enough interest.

I agree that bitcoin cannot be fully controlled.  And yes it can get banned, but even money  has its own illegal nature.  Bad guys exploit things that are explotable, even with all this  controlled monetary system, fraud and money laundering is still everywhere.  Why does the government doesn't banned this kind of currency yet?

Yes. Anyone hiring? I'm a closer, get me a coffee.
You have your coffee and drink it too but still I do not think anyone would accept his salary with bitcoins. Because :

1) The company you work for might not like bitcoins
2) You don't earn enough to save them in bitcoins and have to spend them anyhow
