I prefer to have 20% of my salary being paid in terms of bitcoin, because every month specific amount is being spend upon buying some bitcoin as a investment for future.
this is a good idear!

I think salary should be given in FIAT as most people will believe it is a hassle to convert the coins back to normal currency and then spend because most of the local shops do not accept bitcoin these days.

For now, fiat is the one needed by people because it is the one accepted by all shops and we can buy everything while with bitcoin there are only few things that we can buy and the most possible that will happen is that we still need to convert it to fiat to buy the things that we need. So for now,I will not accept bitcoin as salary yet because it's not yet stable also.Maybe time will come when bitcoin will be accepted as payment to buy our basic needs then that's the time that I will accept bitcoin as salary.

A big YES!  I will accept it as a salary.  It would not be a problem since we have here a licensed bitcoin wallet.  It has all the services needed from loading prepaid cards to school tuition fees.  It has been partnered with almost all bank here in our country.  The only problem is I will not be able to have my salary in full as encashing it has fees on it.
But in my country, the government doesn’t want to popularise bitcoin, they don’t want us to use bitcoin as much as our national currency so it’s quite tricky and difficult for us to only convert it to fiat money not to mention having a licensed bitcoin wallet or paying anything like in your place.
So, I just wonder where are you come from, your country sounds great to bitcoin users and about the fees, well everything has fees so it’s just a small problem.

I dont know why many users said that they will accept their salary as bitcoin.I would defenetily not use bitcoin as my salary. The first reason will be that bitcoin is a highly volatile currency so can not take risk it as my salary because its price will change every time i get my salary and managing it will be really very difficult.
The second reason is that we have to convert my bitcoins to fiat and that will cause the fee,so i will loose some every time. So it would not be a good idea.

Yes totally agree with you.I think for those who are pretty rich or earning a good amount of fiat as well with some business then getting salary in bitcoin will be good and also for those who want to transfer money to relatives worldwide or for some business because fee is very less for bitcoins transactions.Otherwise fiat is much better to get your salary.

I wouldn't yet. Too many things to pay for and not so much adoption yet.
But i would gladly convert 20% of my salary for example, as store of value.

I am not sure it's a good idea, cause in my country is very hard to spend bitcoins well, my only one option is online shoping but i don't like it, so better to recive my salary in fiat.

At this point people are mostly willing to accept it as their in full, or partly salary, for saving purposes, and not really to spend it as there aren't many local places for people to spend their coins.

you are right that local shops does not accept bitcoin because people convert bitcoin in Fiat for direct shopping and i hope that local shops will be accept bitcoin in near future then maximum people will be like to bitcoin as salary .
though in the future if shops accepted it i would definitely accept my salary in bitcoins in order to use my money in an easy way

Yeah company will not prefer to pay in multiple ways, either they will pay you full salary in fiat or else in bitcoin only if they have implemented bitcoin in their company.

And this problem is, to get a salary in the form of bitcoin, especially in my country do not think it possible. Because the company is also not necessarily know bitcoin and want to use it, especially the workers as I would not want to receive a salary in the form of bitcoin because there are not many physical stores that accept bitcoin. not to mention I have to exchange it for fiat and this makes salary in bitcoin more complicated for me. Thank you

In Europe there is a hot new pertaining to a company whose going to introduce paying bitcoins to their employees. But given the instability of the bitcoins market value is it an advantage for the employees or an disadvantage. In my opinion this kind of payment for salary is not yet beneficial to employees not until bitcoins price has become stabled. Though if bitcoin will start to increase its monetary value it can be advantageuos but if not then it is a peril to the employees. So what do you think, what is your opinion on this matter?
at this moment i would not accept bitcoin as my salary because in my country i cant use bitcoin in real life, but it is a good idea and maybe in future will be good for me

I believe many people would like to accept, it may be a reality in the future, but the current volatility makes it a bad choice.

I will like it when btc is cheap, so I can get rather more btc. I don't like it when btc is expensive, so i could get a few coins.

I guess if your current salary with bitcoin, along with the price of bitcoin too expensive then it is an advantage you can get. Because with it if exchanged by fiat, you will get a lot. But otherwise if bitcoin price is cheap, you will be a little less satisfied. hehe

Of note, the price moves suddenly after you get the salary. Because the company will pay you with the price rate when they make transactions. Thank you

When btc is expensive, I prefer selling my btc and keeping fiat in hand. I will buy as more as btc when the price is cheap. I am a btc lover&trader.

For now, that is the situation... Accepting bitcoin as a salary would be a bit of a hassle specially if it is from dollar to bitcoin and then you will convert it back to dollar.. What's the use of receiving it like that and yet you will just bring it back to fiat.. All I could say is that if everything we buy there's a bitcoin price in it below the dollar value in the tag, then I think it is the right time that we should receive salary in bitcoin...  Smiley
That's true but it will take long time for that to happen that we would be able to buy everything with bitcoins and till it doesn't happen its better not to accept salary in bitcoins.

Bitcoin it's a money, I would accept btc as my salary with pleasure, why not

Funny...  Cheesy Are you really thinking that you could just keep your salary after receiving it? or it's just fine for you that the value of money keeps on changing when you convert it to fiat... It will be convenient to accept bitcoin if you could use it as it is regularly...

Double benefit - it's a salary and a lottery - maybe once I get my btc price will suddenly rise?  Grin
I would not compare Bitcoin to a lottery, it's a risky investment, but you would never be losing everything.
Getting paid in Bitcoin is also pretty easy thanks to Bitwage, but I'm sure that has been mentioned already, but I'll post the link anyway.

https://www.bitwage.com/

Bitwage has gotten quite the reputation already, even if it just started. With this service, I am highly believing that receiving salary with bitcoins would not be as risky anymore.

There is a big risk in accpeting salary in bitcoins as the price of bitcoin is never stable and we even cannot use it directly to buy anything, every time we need to convert it to fiat first and then spend, in that case I will avoid such thing.

That is right. I think I will just accept 10% of my salary in the bitcoin just as an investment. I will not accept it 100%.

Not only if the company has implemented Bitcoin into their system, they'll probably give you slightly less than what your fiat salary would be mostly due to the fees incurred by buying Bitcoin on most exchanges. Unless you're being paid by an exchange of course, which already operates with Bitcoin and does transactions on a daily basis.

If the price of bitcoin goes higher in future then I think I may go for it but with current price I don't think its affordable to accept in bitcoins as if price goes even lower then it would not help in better living.
