the question is why would you not accept Bitcoin as your salary?  It is the same ass taking cash in your local currency, it is just in another form.  It would be like taking gold or silver instead of receiving USD for me.

That's a fair enough analogy - just taking different currency. The problem is, in the spirit of your analogy, how easy is it to buy groceries or fix your car with gold or silver? I'd prefer to be paid in an already widely-used currency and then be at liberty to convert it to bitcoin as I please, rather than receive bitcoin and be forced(somewhat) to convert it to buy certain things. Give it 50 years or whatever and I'm sure it'll be easier to use bitcoin every day, but for now, at least where I live, it's difficult beyond buying computer parts or certain goods online.

Good question.  Cheesy

I think I will pass with that. I cannot imagine having a salary using bitcoin. It might be a disaster to the employer and employees.
I guess you must be from third world countries. Only in those countries where you people do not have the sufficient opportunities to get an spend bitcoins, you might thinking using bitcoin payments as a disaster. Because many people around the world are eagerly waiting to get their salary in bitcoin as they are having many opportunity to "use" it for their daily life
He might be right. When you do not have enough merchants to spend your bitcoins then getting salary in bitcoins must be a disaster. The vice versa is also true when your employer does not have enough options to buy bitcoin. We have heard, in many countries buying bitcoins is still a headache task.

Yes, I will do accept Bitcoin as salary because I can easily convert it into fiat in my country. I can even use it for some online services as well. I would love to be paid because it will be calculated at market price and price is also stable now. I may was having some reservation few months ago but now I am open and more convinced to receive.

If you convert it into fiat, then there is no point for you to get your salary in bitcoin, you could just get salary in fiat like usual. I think the purpose why we are paid with bitcoin is to make us using bitcoin completely.

I'll never wanna to accept bitcoin become my salary caused by 1. the price is volatile 2. there is no offline store of very rarely to finding the store can accept bitcoin 3. bitcoin not giving a guarantee for me.
Those are good enough reasons not to accept it as your annual income. Because if those are in effect the consequences in non-acceptable of it to get you through the year then what is the reasoning to take it in the first place?

Yes it is certain. Why I wouldn't want that ? The salary will go towards bitcoin anyway so you can make it right into bitcoin from the first beginning. It is better than to have a bank to have bitcoin.  Better and stronger profit with bitcoin on the rise mostly. It is the future of currency. No more paper and wasteful things.

Probably, yes. My life is projected into becoming a programmer someday. I surely will do online stuffs when I finish my course. If I get paid using bitcoin as my salary, then I wouldn't mind it at all. Getting paid with fiat sometimes is such a hassle tbh. Paypal freezes your account with no reason. I don't want to wait 180 days to get the money I own. Also, if I'm lucky and bitcoin price has risen after the client paid me, then that's extra profit for me.

wow yes I forgot about Paypal freezing accounts, asking for signed ID and other embarassing things they do constantly.

BTC is slow as hell but I sure like the freedom!

It is better to have that sense of freedom then to think about your personal information being leaked when you hand them over to these companies that have security breaches all the time.
It is foolish for ANYONE to just give their I.D, photo or otherwise for verification purposes. It will be sold to the highest bidder on the Blackhat market.
Why do you see so many people complaining that they lose so much from fraud now a days? For this very fact.

Is it advantage or disadvantage is very hard to say, I see many people think that some big rise need to come and in that case its good. We can say for sure that persons who decide to receive salary in bitcoins taking a huge risk, and higher risk is higher profit can be.
I think people who have money for living without salary, can take this risk more easier. It can be great investment for couple years, when they gather enough coins and bitcoin price rise, like everyone say it will. On other hand I have family and lot of bills and needs to pay, so I need money! I have enough to cover everything month by month, if I don't receive one salary I will be in chaos. I can allow myself something like that, so I can`t depend from bitcoins for now.

I just find these american KYC procedures degrading and humiliating, like I can't be "me" anymore, and I can't freely decide what I am prepared to reveal.

For me nope i dont want my salary to be in bitcoin form because i dont want to go to bank's spend my time and fall in line just to get my salary because in my country theres no such thing we can easily change our btc thru physical money and another chargeback for us per transaction and thats hassle to our side,

and thats the reason why i am not to like this thougs.

For sure, with some advantages of bitcoin and that is so very risky to receiving the salary into the bitcoin form and but, for some people is liked about the advantages from that is exciting to receiving their salary income in bitcoin form, dude.

Really feared the people receiving salaries bitcoin is if the price is volatile. Due to blink our money could be reduced if the price drops. But I think the confirmation bitcoin fairly fast friends, so people are not too concerned with the confirmation.

I think not a problem on the number of places that accept bitcoin. You may not use all of your salary to shop instead right? the problem is that there are fluctuations in bitcoin. Because if it happens MIGHT be your wages be fall right?
Surely you do not want it to happen?

If there was more price stability I would be willing to accept,
But I understand that it takes time, volatility is part of bitcoin growth.

Well man Ill accept bitcoin as a salary in my sideline but in my full time job I think I wont accept it. I wont accept it because of some reasons. One of the reasons is that I need a stable source of fiat to survive in this world. I need it to buy my daily needs and the unstability of bitcoin's price I think will cause me money shortage when the price is low and give me lot's of money when the price is high which I don't like for my full time job.
