I like this project because it consists of many interesting ideas, but it will take many, many months to reach 50 million market cap or 200 million market cap without a proper exchange. Many people are afraid to use AE, they don't want to bother with manual withdrawals and do not consider project serious if it is not widely traded. This coin has huge potential and of course cooperation with the bank is a good thing, but this is not what makes the project special, there are more small start ups that are cooperating with banks, this is just how startup scene looks like, but HEAT could be bigger than that. There are couple of cryptocurrencies that had great tech earlier than everyone else (Syscoin and their first decentralised market, Bytecent and their proof of ownership) but fell into obscurity because they stayed away from the mainstream crypto space. HEAT is already dangerously balancing on the brink of falling into obscurity, it was overtaken by Waves in many aspects, but is still leading in the others, and both projects started in the similar time with similar possibilities (yes, Waves gathered more in the presale, but both projects still have huge reserves, so this is irrelevant). Please stop pretending that everything is excellent, it is of course very good but can be improved much more, bringing this coin to the top altcoins on coinmarketcap. List this project on exchanges, not only to make HEAT more liquid, but also as the best way to promote it.

Good point, well made. It could be much better, but I am not complaining. I am getting about 5% daily. You can make a living of this coin.

For everybody's understanding, I am 'heavy' into HEAT (from my personal perspective) and certainly hope for success to the project team. I assume the trading function and current process was setup based on the scary events around Mt Gox/ lack of reliable exchanges etc. These were good considerations in the past sure! However, the space has moved on, that's all I am saying. Although Coinbase and co have their daily set of bashers, I agree with the former poster. Most new potential investors in this space >95% of the overall potential ->will likely overlook HEAT for another public altcoin with a strong promoter. Life is not fair and it's not the best technical solution that necessarily wins.

Good luck and peace everyone!

Still not available on proper exchange? This project has such huge possibilities but it seems it is following the path of other great crypto projects that are not tradeable on any serious exchange thus not sparking the interest it deserves.

It only costs 3BTC to get listed on Bittrex and get featured on their front page.  If I had the spare BTC I would do it myself.

Ok, why don;t we set up a donation address with an escrow to raise the funds to get this listed on bittrex.

Why are you all so desperate to list a coin that is not complete enough to be listed on the big exchanges?

Let the devs work the major bugs out first, listing it on big exchanges at this point is just very short-sighted and could lead to the death of the coin if it fails because of a bug.

A lot of you fail to see long term benefits and instead want measely small short term profit returns.

Crypto coins is more than making profit, this is about changing a flawed system.

You're right actually.  For once it might be interesting to see how it works if we get something properly developed and finished before it goes onto a big exchange.

Listing on an exchange is a way to get more people aware of the coin. That is very important as blockchains needs lots of nodes. The other thing is that Heat is not the only coins working on scaling and blockchain pruning so the best tech may be hard to identify and may not be the deciding factor WRT which coins succeed.
There is an explosion of awareness happening right now, and those coins on large exchanges should benefit.

It's actually quite simple. There are many coins and many projects being worked on. Completing the tech is one thing, but raising awareness is another one. Waves launched without being complete, it was trading for a long time without full nodes, in a centralised way, and because it was widely available, it gained necessary attention and could succeed. It was HEAT's main competitor and it overtook it tenfold. Yes, they had bugs and issues along the way. Actually thinking in terms of "let's complete the tech and figure out the promo" is short term thinking. Long term thinking is "let's work on multiple aspects of the project at once". So yes, coin being tradeable on serious exchange and gaining promotion and interest is separate thing from the tech aspect of it and it should get fixed or you will have good tech (that at some point will not be unique anymore, because others are also working on various stuff) and no fame. It's not the one who releases something first that wins, it's the one who makes it popular, as history of tech and crypto in particular shows. It's totally understandable devs are not working on it now since they are not allow to sell any coins at this point, but when they will be allowed to trade their stack, they will be probably more eager to make HEAT hit the exchanges, just to protect some of the profits.

I don't think the devs intend to bring this coin to any exchanges, so it would have to be a community effort - does the heat team want the heat community to collect enough funds to list heat on the most popular exchanges? - probably not.

Has your balance increased? Then you have mined some coins, grats.  Cheesy

Just jk, you can use this: https://heatbrowser.com/report.html to check if your account has found some blocks, just hit Ctrl+F and search for your account.

Every single reply to the exchange issue is basically the same thing: "We want short-term profits in exchange for long term benefits"

As much as many of you want to write an essay and justify this reasoning, facts are facts and you cannot deny that the software is not ready yet for a big exchange.

Small exchanges, sure. Dumping on a small exchange because of a bug won't damage the coin as much. Now a big exchange with large volume is a different story.

Fact is HEAT is not ready to be pushed out into the spotlight yet, be patient and let it grow with a strong foundation, not popsicle sticks.

Keep in mind that the coins need to be 1440 blocks old to be able to stack (aprox. 10 hours i think).
And after that you'll need to wait until you can find a block. I'm not sure about what's the algo but it's not instant nor it comes in regular intervals. I waited 48h from the first server start to get my first stacking reward. And now comes twice a day when i'm lucky, once or not even once on other days.

I think that the ammount of coins that you hold and the online time do influence the chances of getting rewarded, but again, not sure how it exactly works.

HEAT has started  attracting interest as a decentralized exchange solution. Implementing a EUR gateway would greatly help compete with WAVES. Visit https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@thecryptofiend/why-we-need-decentralised-exchanges
