Of course the tech is important, but huge inflation will prevent the coin's price from going up. Look at the exchange prices now.

Inflation is good because it incentives whale holders. I just wish the tech worked. Also, I want a truly decentralized exchange not this trusted thing.

Prices in any market move in waves of optimism and pessimism. We have gone from optimism to pessimism to optimism and now people are getting pessimistic again.

Using the central server (heatwallet.com) for AE is convenient because of the graphical UI, but you can also do decentralized AE trading with API calls, see: https://heatwallet.com/api/#/Order   In the examples just replace https://heatwallet.com:7734/api/v1/... with http://localhost:7733/api/v1/... to execute the API calls on decentralized nodes.

I think he's talking about this:

Quote
Because the HEAT client hosts client side real crypto, integrated to the HEAT blockchain asset exchange through built-in invisible gateway, users can trade cryptocurrencies right from their wallet on p2p orderbooks without going through an exchange. This means that once your trade for ie. BTC/ETH goes through, you can use the BTC or ETH as you do normally. Bye bye withdrawal delays! Welcome multicurrency client and native direct exchange!

That's why I'm in this.

I had the same problem. I assume you forked. I could only solve the problem with deleting the blockchain and load it new again.

First stop your node (using CTRL+C). If you use the wallet, there is a "Stop Server" button. Then, on Linux:
Code:
cd heatledger-1.0.1
rm -rf blockchain
On Windows, look for the blockchain folder with the explorer and then delete it. I think it is located in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Heatwallet\app-1.0.1\resources\heatledger (replace "username" with your own). If you don't want to wait for the entire chain to download and sync, a faster way is to follow the instructions at: https://heatbrowser.com/report.html

i also forged about 20 hours on a forked chain. not nice. needs some work on it i guess.

alot of people are running a node having that problem!

I closed the wallet and opened it again and it downloaded the full blockchain by itself. Now, mining again. Thank you.

This project is really interesting (great API) but has one big disadvantage - huge inflation. It will be hard to protect the price from falling down further with so many new coins generated everyday.[/size]

inflation is not the problem here.

forging/mining rewards of projects in the first year are accumulated and not sold on the marked, usually.

you expect a better price, if

--the project already matured
--the inflation is lower

for that just the people who wants to get out has to to be kicked out by a low or high price. higher prices are better, so the people coming new in are not selling to early.

If you have a new account your balance becomes effective after 1440 blocks, before that it is impossible to forge/mine. Could this be the case?

Rewards are credited every block (every 30 seconds). The "Generator" in the explorer gets the reward of 8 HEAT, see: https://heatwallet.com/#/explorer

hmmm, ok. im sure i should have received something by now then. its been a couple of hours. I have also confirmed my IP address on the heatbroser.com/report page. but my heat  address is not on it though.

HEAT is going really well, im stoked!!

The rewards does not show up as transactions in your wallet but you can check your address here https://heatbrowser.com/report.html or just check your balance

I answered this question about ten times. Maybe if this retarded moderator wouldn't delete all my posts I wouldn't need to repeat my accurate answers all the time?! Yes, is this possible? Hmm Mc Fly? Anybody home? Here is the answer, summary: Bittrex and Poloniex won't happen.... Be happy if they get the A2A shit working within this year...

Hey guys ive been away a few weeks. Really happy about the progress im seeing. Congrats to svante and dennis.
A couple of questions.. where can I download the latest version of the windows wallet? Guthub is going hella slow for some reason, maybe im on the wrong link.
Next question, is it possible to sell a small portion anywhere? I read in the previous messages that someone was having trouble doing so.
P.s.
Stewie G, if you are reading this... eat a big dick you bastard.

Nah thanks, not my taste. But your mom seems to like it Wink She told me to say Hi, so yeah hi spendawgs.

I see the heat bullshit is still "alive" and crippling. Still the 2 fuckheads are not capable of doing a payout in time... Well nothing changes with heat. Any news from the ABN bullshit? Or will it remain silent on that end of the failure?

my server with forging is always 2 blocks behind the blockexplorer

That is normal, get used to it. Heat sucks!

Is BTC disbursement not working? Just wondering because I have gone through disbursement process before and all went well. But this time it has been a week since I asked for disbursement, following all instructions like before, and still have not received my BTC. It's only 0.29 BTC, but I still need it. And I've sent 2 emails to support without reply. Anybody else having problems with getting their BTC out?

I think the Easter holidays has had it's toll on this service that needs manual attention. I'm pretty sure that today everything will be brought up-to-date.

I hope it was due to the holidays. It's already Tuesday evening and still nothing. Going on almost 8 days since I asked for BTC withdrawal. Getting a little frustrated at this point.
I thought redemption/withdrawal was automatic? Hmmm... guess my btc withdrawal will be stuck for a while too.

Nothing with this shit is automtic! You even need to restart the wallet every now and then because this shit forks on a regular basis.

And you got from 7 to 8 tps by now? No? xD Well I am sure it will only be decades until the heat garbage can do the promised 1000tps xD This shit is a failure by design AND implementation! Unless we get 1000000Mbit worldwide internet and 128GB ram in every computer the 1000tps remain a dream for this design failure called heat. xD

Poor souls buying heat now thinking bittrex would give a damn. Don't worry I made sure bittrex will never ever accept this crap! Same goes for Poloniex.

Oh wait I think the situation was already taken care of by our brilliant mastermind genius Svantja Savage Pink, I could not say it any better:

not being listed on any of the major exchanges is a big mistake. @Eliphaz why do you think that it is a good idea to go down this path?
I can't recall stating we decline from listing on major exchanges. We just don't put resources on all the required a**licking as we really have some real business to do instead, such as preparing the decentralized BTC/HEAT exchange that runs from within the HEAT wallet.

Quote
With only 3BTC needed to list on Bittrex
Not true, as I've described earlier. Prior to HEAT ICO I've talked to Bittrex personally about listing HEAT, filled all their required questionnaires and specifically asked if anything else in addition to that and paying the 3 BTC fee is needed. Got a canned reply, responded to that, and never received another reply. It'll be a while before I'll "do business" with them again, as I don't have time for that kind of games. If somebody wants to get HEAT listed on Bittrex ASAP, feel free to arrange it. The company will gladly pay you 3.3 BTC when HEAT is listed.

To clarify, according to the canned reply Bittrex's "policy is to not comment on whether we will launch coins but we only add coins under active development with high community demand. We gauge demand based off of tweets, hash power, length of bitcointalk thread, volume on other exchanges, etc. Follow us on twitter @bittrexexchange and tweet about how much you like this coin and Bittrex."

Quite vague if you ask me... so not having time for that doesn't mean I put myself above others, but the fact that when we don't even know what's required doesn't warrant pursuing that channel when I really do have a long queue of business to do. Sure HEAT could be tweeting every day: "Hey, BTW we love Bittrex! We also love HEAT, because we developed it!"  but I don't think that'd very useful nor would it likely fulfill their unknown criteria. If you wanna show them enough love it would likely be great. And if HEAT is listed provably through your individual activity mainly, we'll pay you the 0.3 BTC extra Smiley

Oh and what a genius he is xD For quiet some time bittrex is out of the game and don't even think about poloniex.... they are laughing their asses off about this crap. And it is closed source. Polo will not list a 1btc volume closed source backdoored bullshit coin on their precious exchange xD Plus the StewieG bonus... oh boy this will so god damn hard not gonna happen! xD

P.S. For the mod that bans me for every post I make: Fuck you! You suck! By deleting my posts you are contributing to this scam and you know it! Shame on you!

+1

if you start again, i will personally make any efforts needed to perma ban you from btt. both of your accounts and your ip.

Okay okay I know I said I will not respond to these loser comments by lowlife dipshits that make their little empty threats but this one really made me laugh! perma ban you from bcc! xD BAN YOUR IP! xDxDxD  how ridiculous!  Roll Eyes Come on man stop clowning around! Better check this out : Best Heat Thread EVER!!!!!

I came for these two clowns:
