Why isn't Jewels on Bittrex already? Did they change their rules? Or don't you wanna pay those 3 BTC fee?
Wait a bit they just distributed coins do you think they will list 1 day old coin? There needs to be code revision from bittrex, ... and they aren't probably working over weekends. Good point, i accept that weekend thing.

I'm using a headless Jewelsd under Linux. What's the rpc command or startup flag(s) to enable minting / staking?
Add in your config file: server=1 then to start your daemon on background: ./jewelsd & to unlock your wallet (if encrypted) for staking only: ./jewelsd walletpassphrase [your passphrase] 9999999999 true ... wait Done as proposed after encrypting the wallet (it is clear text by default, and command fails on clear text wallet). But it doesn't appear to enable staking. Flag is still false when checking with getstakinginfo, and I don't seem to be receiving any block rewards. { "enabled" : true, "staking" : false, "errors" : "", "currentblocksize" : 0, "currentblocktx" : 0, "pooledtx" : 0, "difficulty" : 483173.80564325, "search-interval" : 0, "weight" : 0, "netstakeweight" : 427637355062842, "expectedtime" : 0 } did coins mature (4h)? do you have your balance available? it works great on my linux server.. "Staking: false" doesn't mean staking isn't enabled. It mean that you're not staking yet, you must wait atleast 4h with you wallet open (maturation period). For more accuracy on the amount of coins you're staking, use 'getinfo'.

Once they mature your status will change to staking until again you have no coins spendable.

Yobit will list JWL anytime soon ?
Put in a req @ https://yobit.net/en/addcoin/ choose free. Anyone can req an add free (does not have to be developer) Yobit looks down or just me ? Yobit on occasion does go down, no need to worry they will be back up very soon after (a few hours) Hopefully jewel will be in soon. I'm very certain that jewel will be on yobit. ^^

these should be some key points for devs
-=- block explorer in my opinion is a large thing to do -=- getting on exchanges -=- once we are listed on some better exchanges try to get on coinmarketcap.com, we can maybe get on it now.. -=- what it seems like.. you only have two people working on this.. you need more.. hire more people -=- try to get some news stories, that would probably make the exchanges notice JEWELS for what it is, a great cryptocurrency, and add them
point to make.. could we see an updated timeline or a timeline for the near future? I think that would shut some of the complainers up..
ok rambling now..
agree on this point. The roadmap for development in the OP is okay. But it is more on adoption rodmap. Another roadmap is for the crypto itself. After I've completed the Jewels Web Portal to a usable state where I can make it so when you login to JewelsProject it takes you to the dash we'll look at putting together a more cohesive roadmap as well as it'll be on our splash website (you know those typical one page parallax you're use to seeing) where we can also document progress. The block explorer should be ready some time soon and I'll post a link to it as soon as it is. For exchanges, we are working on getting listed just be patient about this. We're aware plenty of you are eager to start trading at higher volume exchanges. Why isn't Jewels on Bittrex already? Did they change their rules? Or don't you wanna pay those 3 BTC fee?
Bittrex simply doesn't list simply any coin from the research I've done... even if you're willing to pay the fee (which we are) they. As I've reached out to Bill personally on their slack to quote what he said "there's no speeding up the process." At this point, we've done all we can on our end and now it's up to Bittrex. If you feel strongly about Jewels being listed on Bittrex, I encourage you to Tweet about it as well as kindly suggest it to them on their Slack (don't spam).

Sure it will be soon, weekend thing is def valid :p by the looks of alcurex theres going to be some heavy dumping.
Dumping? On Alcurex price hasn't even touched ICO price by a mile. Never said the ico price has been touched but someone with some coin is already willing to sell. (not a lot on alcurex but a few stacks of 1000 and a 5k) then theres comments like Alcurex is a good exchange that has been going through development and improvements for the past 2 years. Never had a problem Halibit didn't resolve and that's a big reason I support it. Just sent my 67k coins over to it
No sense in sending 67k coins unless your going to dump if the opportunity arises. Nothing wrong with it, its going to happen, just hope when it does i get em cheap :p

did coins mature (4h)? do you have your balance available? it works great on my linux server..
Ok, now I can see I'm staking. ./local/bin/Jewelsd getstakinginfo { "enabled" : true, "staking" : true, "errors" : "", "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "pooledtx" : 0, "difficulty" : 650253.92286811, "search-interval" : 16, "weight" : 100000000000, "netstakeweight" : 633346034729007, "expectedtime" : 405341 } do you have your balance available?
I have only 1k JWLs available. Not sure how that works, first time I'm using Peercoin derivative. Does that mean I have to wait 4h to recover my balance? Is there a way to keep a set amount of coins out of staking or I need to create separate wallets? ./local/bin/Jewelsd getbalance 1000.00000000
