Sorry if this has been brought up before.  But are you aware that your software only prompts you to refresh for updated odds if the odds move in your favor?

I've been playing at your book for a few months.  And in the 500 or so times that the odds were updated and I had to refresh... 100% of the time the odds moved against me.  They have never ever once moved in my favor.  Are you aware of this glitch?

Hey PharaohUB, this is actually the expected behavior on the site. When a user enters a bet we try to minimize the percentage that we have to reject their request. We have a couple checks on each bet request to ensure that we can responsibly accept it. If the user is requesting odds better than the current odds then that triggers a red flag.

We've actually been recently working on a new step to minimize the amount of time that this flag is hit. We've built an auto-refresher that will update the odds every minute without refreshing the whole page. We've been testing it in the live section (you can see it during games), and are planning to move it into the main section soon.

Let me start off by saying I think you're doing a great job running bitbook and your customer support seems very good.

This odds change situation is very bothersome.  To me, it is a dishonest business practice.  I understand you trying to justify it as avoiding the inconvenience of rejecting a bet and forcing a refresh, but I think I speak for the majority when I say I'd rather refresh and get better odds.  Taking an edge when it is in your favor and rejecting it when it is not, unbeknownst to the user, isn't much different from secretly stealing funds.

You seem like you care a lot about customer service and you are running the site with financial responsibility, which is great to see.  In this industry, gaining the trust and confidence of your customers is paramount.  I hope you will be open-minded on this issue and see that 100% transparency and a fair set of rules are extremely important.  This is not meant to be a personal attack or bitbook bashing.  I just want to bring this issue to light further because I feel it is so important.

Hey bitwager, thanks for the thoughtful message. We're glad you're enjoying BitBook and appreciate your feedback.

As you've mentioned, our system was set up so that each time a wager is placed it checks "can this be accepted". If no red flags are hit, then it is accepted. This is what happens the vast majority of the time, and we have worked to keep this percentage high. We can see where you are coming from, and we will look further into this in the coming week. As you may have noticed we have added automatic refreshing of the odds every minute, to help keep users with current odds, even if their browser is open for a long time. We have found that this has helped minimize occurrences of users requesting old odds, but we can discuss a more explicit check for this situation.

guys please grade e-sports faster (and preferably automatically) . it takes hours for it to be graded.

All matches have now been graded.

We have automated grading in place for most events, but sometimes there are matches that are not auto-graded. Currently this is the case for e-sports. Events requiring manual review can sometimes take a couple hours to be settled.

We'll continue to work hard to grade bets as quickly as possible, and we can look into aut0-grading for e-sports. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks and yes for most sports events it's totally automatic and just few mins, but for e-sports it takes hours after match time to be credited making it less appealing, isn't there any guaranteed source you can import results instantly from?
also is there going to be any NFL competition? there hasn't been one for few weeks and not sure if it was totally cancelled Smiley ?

Edit: also in this match G. Panfil (POL) -A. Seppi (ITA) a player retired,so all the bets will be pushed Smiley ,right?

We are actually working on automated e-sports grading which we hope to have working for the bigger e-sports matches soon.

also is there going to be any NFL competition? there hasn't been one for few weeks and not sure if it was totally cancelled Smiley ?

We may do more promotions, but we don't have any immediate plans right now.

Edit: also in this match G. Panfil (POL) -A. Seppi (ITA) a player retired,so all the bets will be pushed Smiley ,right?

We follow standard tennis grading rules which hold that Moneyline bets are graded if at least 1 set is completed. Spread and Total bets are pushed if the match isn't completed in full. In this case Seppi retired after a full set had been completed so all Moneyline bets were scored.

For reference, you can see all of our rules at https://bitbook.biz/rules

Hey bitcoinchatter9, we follow standard soccer grading rules which hold that "If the wagering offer on a match includes the draw as a third option and the match ends in a draw, wagers on the draw will be paid, while wagers on both teams will be lost."

This is how soccer bets are always graded because otherwise it would be impossible to win if you bet on a draw.

You can see all of our rules here: https://bitbook.biz/rules

Looking good!

Can you add period betting in NHL inc O/U

also there was a mention of odds updating, Why not have a setting "auto accept better odds" I think thats as fair as it can be, unfortunately  Tongue

Hi Electronics4BTC. We are still in the final stages of testing our auto-grader for esports so hopefully that will be turned on in the near future and should lead to quicker settling for the majority of events. There are no finished tennis matches outstanding at the moment. 3 Matches in the Auckland WTA tournament have been interrupted.

If you are waiting on any specific bet or event to be graded please feel free to PM or email us anytime. We'll continue to work hard to grade bets as quickly as possible.

Withdrawals have processed. To limit transaction spam we have a maximum number of transactions that will automatically process each day for each user. After that manual approval is required. It looks like your account hit this maximum, so we had to approve those transactions.

Is there any chance in the future you would be able to offer set betting for tennis matches (hopefully before the Australian Open)?

I'm a regular sports gambler who just checked out your sports book and it seems pretty cool.  I love betting on MMA every week and have accounts at several cash sports books. I'm not currently in the Bitcoin economy but would love to try your book if and when you run another faucet promotion.

Would you guys be able to grade the J. Isner (USA) vs D. Munoz-De La Nava (ESP) tennis match as it has already has finished according to the official Hopman cup site? Is there any way you can have these events auto-graded?

I'm a rather large bettor on bitbook and I have to say how truly amazing this site is.  I read the other day how another bitcoin sportsbook wasn't paying and was having issues.  I bet probably an average of 20-50 BTC/day and this site ALWAYS pays instantly.  It's truly amazing how incredible they are.

I've been playing internet poker and sportsbetting for about 14 years and the ease and speed at which i can deposit and withdrawal with these guys is incredible.  As much as I'd love to win it all from them, I hope that this place does well for years to come.  I'd hate to see them go.

Can you add:

NHL Alternates; NCAA Alternates; Korean Basketball League; China Basketball League
And while we are at it, could you make sure test matches are posted quickly for cricket? And also put the time a game starts, not just hours till.

We can look into both of these.

In the past we have offered futures and prop bets, and we may offer them more so in the future. Our primary goal and focus has been on delivering the best possible bitcoin sports betting experience around the most popular core betting options (spread, moneyline, and totals bets). Given this we have worked hard on offering the highest payouts, delivering the quickest bet settling, and offering easy instant withdrawals. As we continue to work on delivering the best possible experience around these core bets, we can look further into also offering alternate betting options, as you suggest. Thanks for the feedback.
