Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I don't know if that masternodes' question deserve an answer, however, ETC has no masternodes, it's not a masternodes coin in any way and I don't know why you asked for masternodes.
The difference between eth and etc is in principles, etc want to stay immutable forever and ever and as decentralized as possible, eth isn't immutable since the DAO fork happened. ETC has maximum cap of 210,000,000 coins, ETH has no cap since it will go full PoS after casper upgrade, and other differences which are explained better if you join ethereum calssic slack or discord channel.
Dapps are already up and running on etc chain, this maybe will help you https://www.reddit.com/r/EthereumClassic/comments/7n93ue/is_there_a_list_of_dapps_currently_being/ .
"Why is Calisto needed to implant side chains?" The answer is: Callisto is a side chain

callisto will be a side chain so it will in a sense have its own chain, and it will be a cold POS? i get confused with side chains, do they share transaction history of the previous chain?

I've not that kind of knowledge, it's better if you ask on ETC's discord/slack. What I know is, it's a separate chain with smart contract's based PoS and it can interact with ETC chain thanks to cross-chain transactions.
I think that if ETC is clogging (like we saw in ETH so many times), unconfirmed transaction will be redirected to Callisto? If I understood it correctly it's a great solution for scalability (it's an on chain solution, not like Raiden and Lightning which are off chain)

Wow thats really interesting, the cold POS is unique but i also really like the idea of scaling ETC too....because you're right ETH has had so many
issues of late from scaling.

I really see ETC rising next month. Although it's unfortunate the market had some corrections since the past week, ETC would have skyrocketed by now.

But I really believe in this coin, and this project nonetheless...I am hoping the general Crypto market stabilizes and recovers so we can really see the upside of this coin.

However, the community must stay strong while the team works harder to deliver on the roadmap.

Never underrate the power of a great community. More often than not, the power of a great project lies in the community.

Yes, as long as you've access to your private key of your ETC address (where you got your ETC balance), you'll have access to the airdrop. I'm going to keep my ETC at MEW too for the airdrop.

It's interesting that Charlie Lee has mentioned that Ethereum Classic is one of the coins that he has in his portfolio. There must be something to it if he is hanging on to it. After all, he sold most of his own coin LTC.

I think will be more better the airdrop coins on the official wallet of ethereum classic ETC than on the exchangers because of the risk losing the coins on there is high, here the explanation about the airdrop coins on ethereum classic ETC's platform, i think it is good knowledge for us about the airdrop.

I think will be more better the airdrop coins on binance or bittrex and the official wallet of ethereum classic ETC too. Because this will attract attention to the ETC, thousands of potential investors who have not previously paid attention to the project. The capitalization of the project will grow due to the attraction of new money. There will be an opportunity as well as developers to have additional funds for development + additional earnings for early investors who have been waiting for the growth of the price for ETC for a very long time.
Answer from bittrex support :   "In the future, if you would like to see a fork supported on Bittrex, encourage the dev team to fill out a New coin submission. Details: https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000475411  "
If developers spend money on placing CLO and airdrop support by bittrex or binance, then these funds will return to you very quickly, as this news will attract attention and the infusion of new money by new investors. Capitalization and the price of the ETC will grow.

For example, look at NXT and Ignis airdrop support by Bittrex, the price of NXT grew at 14x.   I think the developers and investors were satisfied.

The "Callisto" ticker CLO (https://forum.ethereumclassic.org/t/january-dev-update-commonwealth/404) proposed Ethereum Classic fork falls under this document with more details:

https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001919932

If Bittrex does not explicitly announce support for a promotion or coin feature in our Coin Information page (https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/sections/203283828-Information), it is not supported. If Bittrex decides to support credits of coins for airdrops, giveaways, staking, forks or any other promotion or feature of a coin that provides additional coins, it will be announced and supported publicly.

Please be aware that many airdrops and proposed forks are actually scams.

In the future, if you would like to see a fork supported on Bittrex, encourage the dev team to fill out a New coin submission. Details: https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000475411
