I see a few threads on this forum about protecting your bitcon wallet, but all of them assume that you have some prior knowledge on topic. 

Was wondering if all these steps are neccesary with the new software? and if so can you provide a step by step for newbs?

New member based in the UK, been lurking a while, mining LTC at around 4Mh (4000Kh).

Happy to help others get started in LTC. Havent mined BTC only traded for it on BTC-E.

Right now, planning to hold my mined LTC long and speculate.

Bitcoin, what a gass.  This baby market has seem to won my undying attention.  Strange, the other distractions in my life are far more appealing.  Anyhow gents; I have been trading currencies for some time now and i have yet to come across something so resilient.  How many crashes so far?  Anyhow, I see this currency as special; and I understand that you do too.  That's why I decided to reach out to the community level.  I have a been gripping this blue sphere for some time, I have learned much.  I am here.  I look forward to the interactions.
