Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Hi, from Europe.

I want an economy that uses bitcoin to trade . I want to live like that.

Or if bitcoin fails for some reason - there will always be something 98% analogous that will come after it.

So since the precedent is already out, and already so many people know about this (rich countries, poor countries...) - I think the good , economically/humanly sound means-of-trade already won.

What is left is the birth struggles.... There will be ups and downs probably (caused by the old system using its remaining life/power to defend itself ).

The greatest asset we have is this IT geeky crowd that will retain the desire to code and design good engineering systems - no matter what happens with the current bitcoin implementation....

I wonder if the rulers of the world have foreseen this comming and have prepared for it 100 or 50 or 20 yrs ago ?

If yes how ?

If not - haha.

Hi Guys,

I'm like totally new here and it's going to be an amazing ride getting to know you all, speculating on price and discussing general topics of interest with you all.

You'll find me a really approachable guy and if you need help with anything just give me a shout and I'll see what I can do.

My goals to get my feedback up really high, become a hero member than start a too good to be true high yielding investment scheme under a name that sounds like I'm subversively mocking myself to the point I must be a business genius (such as cowboy, I understand my first choice has already been taken by a user with a similar plan).

I can only realize my  goals with your help so please swallow any bullshit I feed you without question.

Think you can't? I bit ya can. Bitcoin.

Hello all,

I am lurking bitcoin for nearly two years now. Had my first wallet been ripped by mybitcoin and had a heavy time to get another wallet back from mtgox and $300 I send by post to someone never arrived. Decided to stay away from btc for the time being, but kept lurking here and continued developing my it skills and await confidence I can protect my own locally stored wallet.

So now I am back again, have a small wallet and started to do some trading in bitcoin-otc. I posted a question which I moved on suggestion of paraipan.

Thanks, Rick

Hi everyone,

got introduced with Bitcoin by a friend in the beginning of 2011. Only just now do I seem to grasp the implied effects of this new technology.

My aspirations lie with modest mining and trying to come up with plans for online services with BTC involved. Getting the coins rollin'!

I hope to be able to contribute to the collective wisdom on this forum.

Kind regards, Robert

Greetings, Earthlings!

I have decided to give this Bitcoin thing a whirl using a new ASIC device from BFLabs.  It should be entertaining.  A minor (initial?) loss of 150 green pieces of paper is no big deal.  My E-450 is ready to go.

I wonder if BFLabs needs to assemble these devices somehow or if they come ready to ship from the manufacturer?  I'd be willing to beam down to Kansas City and lend my labor to build my own.   Just promise to let me leave in time for my next dodgeball game!  (Of course, I promise to keep the coordinates a secret.)

Hi, I'm Parliament.

I've been involved in Bitcoin for just over a year now. I used to mine (when it was actually profitable), now I mostly invest on GBLSE and do local in-person transactions (on localbitcoin). I'm active on Reddit's /r/bitcoin and /r/bitmarket. I've lurked on here for a while, and I think it's finally time to make an account.

I'm a developer, pretty well-versed in PHP, mySQL, and Python. I'm hoping to start a new Bitcoin puzzle website in the near future.

Hi everyone I am fuzzymuffin =]

I'm loving bitcoin and the freedom it is giving individuals all across the world to trade. A decentralised currency that a government cannot debase and which no criminal can counterfeit is something that should be encouraged and promoted.

Its great to be here =]
