Hello! My friends call me "The Terminator", because if anyone gets in my way they get terminated! lol

I'm here to discuss Bitcoins with my fellow technophiles. I already know the basics, and want to go a little deeper.

Hi,
I've been lurking here for some days and now I registered.
I'd like BTC especially because I can do very small transactions with reasonable fees, like donations etc…

Hello everyone,

Seems as if I have a long way to go to build up some cred on here.
Any suggestions as to how we can do that as quickly as possible?

Also,

To anyone who reads this. I am obviously very new to this. I don't know the first thing about bitcoins I have to admit.
Can someone PM me to let me know how this all works...
How do you get bitoins? Where can you get them from that is safe? Also, how do you move the coins around and buy things online with them?

Any assistance would be very much appreciated!

Wrapping my head around Bitcoin and other crypto currencies.  The 4 hour rule before being freed from these forums will be no problem with all the content here... Thanks :-)

Hey, it seems like getting out of the newbie box is going to take awhile.

I'm working on some BitCoin related websites that'll launch as soon as I acquire some more coin and find an area to promote it.

What kind of projects are you working on, or is it secret?

Not secret!

I've ran a 'Free Second Life Linden' site since 2007, and I'm basically going to open one up for BitCoins soon. Where users do things like watch youtube videos/ads, facebook LIKE pages, complete offers, register to sites, etc. and earn BitCoin. In addition to BitCoins users could also withdraw the earned rewards to Second Life, or redeem for amazon gift cards, etc. The site is done, minimum withdrawal is 0.01 BitCoins. I just need to buy/trade for more. Ive traded $L for some, but need more to be on the safe side. On average I'd assume most users would only be able to earn like 0.25 BTC, more only if they put in a lot of effort in 'Tasks'.

Other sites I was thinking about were an online casino where users could compete in skill based games to see who gets the highest amount of points. I'd also like to try my hand at a marketplace.

***

What is your site link?

Those are probably the best three ideas I have. The codes all done from previous projects. Ive had lots of random virtual currency websites over the past few years, so its basically just reworking them for BitCoins and seeing if theres any interest.

I'm just a regular guy from the internet who has become fascinated with bitcoin's technology, recent rise, (and correction).

I installed GUIminer about a week ago and was lucky enough to discover a block on my own with just a lone 5770 card.  My room is a good bit warmer now too.  After that I was hooked on any info I could grab about bitcoin.  I'm interested in the mining aspect of BTC and other crypto currencies, and am wondering how the ASIC mining community (if ASICs are even legit) will affect the broader economy.

And no, I didn't sell during the mania.  I think recovery from this panic is crucial to bitcoin's longevity.  New exchanges will compete and balance Mt.Gox's dominance, and hopefully stabilize the currency overall.

cheers
