Hey my name is John - thinking about diving into the developer community to try and contribute some stuff. I figured this would be a good start

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Hi everyone! I'm just starting with the BTC world. Can you send me a little donation?? (0.01BTC or less) I don't need the BTC is only to see if I can recibe the money in my wallet. Thank you anyway!

Hello bitcoiners. I'm a nice fella. I like bitcoin. I'm a libertarian.
I've been reading on this forum passively for about 4 months, and new about bitcoin since like 8 or 9 months ago. I hope to be a helpful voice on this forum.

Hi, I'm Michael. I love the idea of decentralised, pseudonymous, electronic, currency. I accept bitcoins in exchange for doing certain tasks (see my website[1]). I have known about bitcoins for a number of months now, and think it's a great idea.
As can be seen in my sig, I also have a bitcoin.it wiki account, though haven't really used it much. I do, however, intend to be more active in the bitcoin community from now on.
[1] Yes I know it's not wonderful, it's like the old saw about the electrician who doesn't have working lights.

Those are awesome hobbies. I hope to learn about exactly those things. I'm glad more people like you are learning about bitcoins. Thanks! In fact, I have some proposals about the bitcoin protocol. When I grow to a full membership status I'll post about in concerning forum

Hello! As I see, it's normal to introduce yourself by a nickname, and I don't really want to disclose my identity right now for many reasons. Anyway, I'm Fireball, and those people who know me will understand that's it's really me . Besides that, I'm a dev, and I have some interesting ideas related to Bitcoin. But when I wanted to reply to one thread here.... of course I read about newcomers forum limitation. Not a good idea, but whatever.

Hi, I'm BCBuddy. You can probably tell from my name what I plan on doing with my Bitcoins. I regret not getting in on the ground floor so I finally got around to signing up here in order to make up for lost time. For that reason, I just posted a little newbie thread in case anyone's less invested in the idea of this burgeoning economy than I am, where I'm buying Bitcoins for 20 bucks, well over the current market price. It's here if you're interested.
