I was originally introduced to bitcoins by teppy and his Dargons Tale casino http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=1392.0 while I was playing his other game ATITD.  I ended up winning around 200 bitcoins total from me purchasing 10 then promptly forgot about it until a few months ago on twitter Jason Calcanis was talking about it and I remembered I had it on one of my gaming machines.  Turns out I had left the client cpu mining and had actually found a block in that time frame.  Since then I have setup a couple of GPU mining rigs and have been lurking quietly on the forums.

Hello, I'm introducing myself.

Bitcoin has all the aggravations I consider entertainment: a) fooling around with finicky hardware, b) figuring out why my computer deals out a blue screen of death every so often and c) pie in the sky thoughts about making money.

Hello,

I'm new to the Forums and thought I would introduce myself.  I regularly trade on #bitcoin-otc and #bitcoin-pit as I}ruid and also use the various BTC exchanges.  I'm a fan of both cryptography and alternative currencies, so Bitcoin hit my radar pretty fast back in January 2009 when Satoshi released the Bitcoin whitepaper and initial version of the client software.

Thanks,

Dustin D. Trammell

Was wondering what exchanges you use and which you would recommend? I use bitmarket.eu, and am quite happy with it, but am always open to exploring alternatives.

A duck walks into a bar. "bartender do you have any bread" says the duck. "No" replies the bar tender. "have you got any bread" repeats the duck. "no" says the bartender in a louder voice. "Got any bread" repeats the duck. "if you ask me again if I have any bread i will nail your beak to the bar" says the bartender with a smile. "got any nails" says the duck. "no" days the bartender with wide eyes. "got any bread" replies the duck.

I use Mt. Gox, Tradehill, and Bitcoin7.  I've tried some of the others but they are too low volume to be useful.  Out of those three, Tradehill is so far my favorite as it seems to not have the stability/security issues that Mt. Gox has and is higher volume than Bitcoin7.  I'm also looking forward to trying CampBX when it opens in a couple of days.

Hope this helps,

Hi there just got into mining. Going to build a little rig to do some gui-less mining. Also hoping to setup a little remote access computer repair service in the future.

Hi I'm Mark just getting into the bitcoins.  Really love the idea.  I do xbox repairs on the side now and want to start accepting bitcoins as a payment.  I have money in stocks and like this idea of diversifying my money.  I have a lot of projects on the side with a paintball field I would also accept bitcoins as payment.  I would like some guidance and help along the way.  Any help is much appreciated.
