Well I finally decided to join after lurking for a few months. As for experience I do own some BTC and have just started BTC mining in a pool.

I'm either a not-yet wildly-successful entrepreneur or a slacker lay-about depending on who you ask. My brother-in-law has money on the latter. I'm smarter than the average bear. But so are 50% of bears and up to 60% of humans with internet access. I am attracted to the philosophical freedoms bitcoin represents. Having some money launderers and crooks sniffing around is the cost of those freedoms. I'm about to build a test rig using 2x5970's and will see if I'm any good at system building and configuration. At current prices of BTC and electricity downunder, it makes more sense to buy BTC at an exchange for now. However I have some mates who work in photovoltaic research, which may make this a viable output of their renewable energy experiments. Of course it depends on what the grid pays for electricity. Hey people!
I've been lurking on here for about half a year or so, but I've just decided to get posting and what not.
I own a couple of bitcoins and have tried (and failed) to speculate on the market correctly. =P

ahoj, got infected from a friend with the bitcoin virus. Living in Austria :-) Somehow really interesting idea to start a currency that is independent from banks and nations. Didnt totally get the whole system but will dig deeper now.
When my friend told me about bitcoin the course was around 3$ now it rocketed in 2 month up to over 5$. Now Iam sad that I didnt buy some when he told me first ;-)

hey guys ive been trading bitcoin/usd since october, and have taken a huge interest in the project both for how much about economics it has taught me as well as how promising it is. i can only see its uses and userbase expanding from here. may 2012 be the year of the bitcoin!

Hello,
I've been involved with Bitcoin for more than half a year; mining, selling, observing and buying. I have already spent considerable time here on the boards; reading, laughing and plotting.
I guess it's high time to mingle. I genuinely believe that bitcoin has merit with its uses, but like anything, it needs time to grow and mature.
So cheers!

Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself.
I am having fun playing around with the technical side of bitcoin. Working on FPGA mining, and it is coming along ok. I am interested in finding out more about other bitcoin cousins such as namecoin and litecoin.
mostly just having fun
