I like the open air computers the miners are useing.  I saw some frame material on ebay at the 80/20 Store.  They sell extruded t-slot and an aluminum quick frame product.  They also sell the plastic connectors for the ends.

Hello Forum.

I have just arrived as a newbie to this forum and ya'all can call me Jeff.

I have been interested in Bitcoin since December 4th when I happened upon the Bitcoin Faucet where after downloading and installing the client, I was able to receive my first fraction of a bitcoin for free. A few days later, I completed offers for various companies offering Bitcoin and actually earned slightly over two bitcoins in the process (when it was valued at about $3 per coin), though one of the offers did give me a virus on my computer and I exposed myself to constant solicitous phone calls for weeks by supplying my number to offer providers. Anyhow, I realized that spending hours completing offers from poorly screened spamming companies was not the right way to obtain bitcoins (too much time spent for not enough return with too much risk) so I found Mt.Gox and Dwolla and figured out how to purchase bitcoins with US dollars.  So far, I think that is the safest and surest way to proceed aside from actually just offering a service (which I don't yet) and accepting bitcoins as direct payment.

I've done some YouTube surfing and viewed someone actually unpacking items ordered using bitcoin.

One of my goals I'm hoping to achieve is to be able to connect with other bitcoiners to be able to trade services/goods for bitcoin in the future.

Hi lifeseed, thanks for your reply. 

Dwolla is just a way to transfer money (similar to PayPal) but which is also accepted by Mt.Gox (last I checked a while ago Mt.Gox did not accept transfers from PayPal).  So Dwolla then, was just a vehicle for me to get my US dollars into my Mt Gox account so I could start purchasing bitcoins.

I don't yet offer any products or services, though I have hopes that I might be able to at some point.

I have been a keen BitCoiner (ok wrong word!) for about 6 to 8 months now. I am liking how the currency is becoming less like a free cash in for all and something you actually have to be tactical and careful about with the slow demise of mining. I have never posted on the forums before, but I think I should, and get a bit more involved. I am a geeky guy, who can code in PHP, SQL, C#, Java, and pretty much any other similar language, with relatively extensive Linux knowledge, looking at automating BitCoin on my latest site now and possibly in the future making a BitCoin spin off of my hosting venture. I am keen to see more retailers take up BitCoin as it is the main way we can secure the future of the currency.

I bought my first bitcoins around Oct/Nov 2011 for $2.3 USD. I'm ready to buy some now but they were around $6 USD on Friday and they're around $6.8 USD now.

I know nothing about finance or currency trading but have heard good things about campbx.com. Should I consider buying on the margin? I'm not even sure what this is but I've heard it's what the smart traders do when the desired commodity is rising in value.

Any book recommendation for those interested in currency trading that includes bitcoins?
