Hey there community, Just introducing myself to get this ball rolling. I've been a bystander watching bitcoin fluctuate up and down and feel like I keep missing the boat!
No longer! I finally got fed up with my defective gtx460 and replaced it with a 6950 to regain stability and get my feet wet into the bit mining operation. So here we go! I know profitability seems like a thing of the past, but I've just mined my first bit-coin and hope to mine many more over the course of the year. Considering getting onto the FPGA train since I'm an Electrical Engineer (minor in Computer Arch and Digital Emb. Sys) since even if bitcoin mining does die out I'll still have uses for the hardware outside of mining.

Hello all! Just started mining last night. My new gaming rig is almost complete with the replacement of my 5850 with a 7970. I was going to sell my 5850 and saw a thread on bit coining in another forum. I had been aware of what it was and what it involved from various tech site articles. I figured I'd look into it more. Low and behold it was a lot more interesting than I had thought. I should be able to get some decent hobbyist level results with both cards running.

Just thought I would say hi and hopefully get to post in FPGA threads as I can upgrade existing equiptment to run miners rather then buy a computer just for it. Really enjoy the site it helps me find updated miner software and pool information. Keep up this great site!

Hi i've been using intersango to get my bit coins and the first lot went o.k the next i did by bank transfer(same bank as them) the money has showed yp on there system but i cannot use it it has been about a week.is this normal.Idont want to put more into there tomorro to find out ive lost it.please help i have no one else to ask  thanks j |
