my card asic is 55 and 63% i was able to get 27MHZ pulling only 60watt each in gpu-z. my total rig pulled 370 watt from the wall with 2x 470 and 1x 380.

thats a nice speed for only 60 watts in gpz

mostly stable for me Smiley
RX 480 8gb reff
Rx 470 4gb nitro

Care to share the nitro bios and polaris/wattman screen? Smiley
Thanks mate, very nice results, do you know what is your consumption@wall?

I'm using this bios to get around 28 mh/s also

https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/9533/28mh-470oc-nitro-4gb-boysie-rom-dual-mining/p1

Works pretty well but you have to set the dcri to a specific value to really get that numbers.
I managed to get 29.2 mhs + 450 decred/sia getting the mem to 2060@1.15 and core to 1260@1100

trying to use your setting but i get the blue screen, seem imposible, are you increase the voltage? power limit + ?

Your mileage may vary, after a while my setting wasn't stable enough anyways, depended too much on the power limit, etc. etc., i'm currently on 1300@default voltage clock and 2000@default voltage mem and it's pretty stable on 27.5, i'll wait until i find some way to correctly manage voltages under linux and the fine tune to see if i can get 28 stable, i don't have power consumption issues so i prefer better speeds.

i think my setting is better than you have, im runing 28,4mhs + 313 sia coin, 115watt gpu z Smiley
running for more than 7hours without any issue

Hope you dont mind me asking but how many cards are you running on the system??

Mates, anybody know if 1200 in memory mv strap is risky for card health or it is OK?
I have one gigabyte 470 4g which unstable even in 1750mhz with stock 1000mv. But it seems to work well in 1900mhz with 1200mv. Core working in 1100@0.925

How to use patched atikmdag.sys ?
I flashed moded bios, than installed previous driver to match atikmdag.sys and graphics cards "disappeared" for driver.

Edit: Updated from 16.8.2 to 16.9.2 and it works, but can't adjust power limit in watmann and increasing mem clock doesn't do much of a good thing.
I'm confused what is this patch for

What OS are you using?  I just got a Rx 470 and installed 16.9.2 on Win 7.  Hashrate at default clocks (1250/1650) is only 20.5.
I tested with a R9 380 which would get ~22Mh with 15.7.1 on the same machine, and it only gets 19.5 now.

I found out Asus GPU tweak II causes a slowdown if it is left running during mining.  With it closed during mining, running at 1097/1925 I'm getting 27Mh/s after modding the BIOS.  The card is an Asus Rx 470 4G with Hynix RAM.  Power consumption is ~210W at the wall with the core running at 1.1V.  Reducing the core to 1075mV gave me the blue screen after a couple minutes of mining.

asus rx 470 4Gb
win7 x64
@1140core/7504gddrr5 (hynix ajr R0C)
26.5mh/s
 Cool

is it stable?
i use same card asus rx 470 4b too

I can hit 27.4 on linux.

Getting about the same (27.3-27.4) on Win7 with 16.9.2 drivers.  Running 1100/1950, using the 1500Mhz strap.  Also had to boost the power limit to stop it from throttling.  Can manage a 50mV undervolt (GPU-Z shows 1.1V VDDC), but 75mV isn't stable.  Gonna do a bit more experimenting before trying it on my Ubuntu 14.04.4 rig.

Seems that asus not so good. I have ref-like sapphire rx470 4gb hynix and it is doing 28mhs 1140/1950 at 0.92v
I'm using 1350 strap. No mem errors in hwinfo at all. Rock stable.
It can do 29.5mhs with 1140/2050 with 1500 strap but with mem errors, I don't like it.

Some extremely valuable information in this thread. I'm considering buying 4 cards since the "ETH timebomb" has been effectively pushed back.
I'm faced with a choice of 3 cards and could really do with some advice (I live in South Africa so the prices below is what it costs me to buy them here):

$228 - Sapphire rX-470 - Nitro edition - 4Gb Oc
$286 - Sapphire rX-470 - Nitro edition - 8Gb Oc
$279 - Sapphire rX-480 - Nitro edition - 4Gb

There is so much misinformation online that i was struggling to decide. Power consumption isn't an issue for me as my power at work is free and i have a rather rooftop large solar / PV setup at home so electricity is free at home as well.. Are the 4Gb cards doing to still be able to mine ETH in year from now?

For the life of me I can't decide, any advice?

Edit: When ETH becomes unminable, would the 480's be better cards for mining other coins?

Hi guys i need some help, have problem with my rig, won't work stable more than 5-6 hours.
Specification of the rig is 5 x Asus rx470, Asrock H81 BTC board, Corsair RX1000i.

I moded bios and copied 1500 bios straps in rows above. Set Gpu clock on 1100mhz, memory 1850mhz, voltage -1000mV and getting 26 Mhs. But my rig is unstable, does anyone have idea what can be problem, I tried with different OC values. Is it 1000mV enough for Asus Rx470 4gb Strix gaming cards?

Actually, I like the Asus cards because:
1) they are cheap (<$200USD)
2) the VRM looks well-designed (with heatsinks on the mosfets)
3) their custom digi+ VRM theoretically permits soft mod of the memory voltage (haven't found software for this yet)
Toms has a nice teardown:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-rx-470,4703.html

The ASIC quality on my card is 72%, which may account for the difficulty under-volting.  It seems low leakage parts often (though not always) don't undervolt as well as high leakage parts.
