Gigabyte Windforce OC 3Gb

Ethash
Power limit: 80
Core: 1300 (-400)
Memory: 4800 (+1000, Samsung)
Fan: 60% (62C, open case)
Speed: 25.5 Mh/s (ethminer), Claymore Dual miner with current clocks make every share faulty.

Neoscrypt
Power limit: 100
Core: 1900 (+150)
Memory: 4600 (+850, Samsung)
Fan: 65% (69C, open case)
Speed: 820 kh/s (hsrminer), 750 kh/s (ccminer KlausT) - don't know if hsrminer showing real numbers, some ppl says they are not real.

Try reducing to 90 power limit and drop your memory to nothing. Memory clock has no impact on neoscrypt.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I am planning to buy GTX 1060 or higher this year. I just want to know what coins can I mine using that videocard. I am a total newbie in mining. I just want to invest in miner from the profit I got from trading.

I just bought 12x Gigabyte 1060 3GB GPUs at lowest price possible in my country (lately prices are going crazy). I wanted some 1070s at first but couldn't get my hands on any for quite some time, so I wasn't really satisfied with the 1060s especially 3GB. But when I assembled the rigs last night, I found out all of them have got Samsung memory, yeey! Can't wait to set things up, OC and stuff and see results.

edit: Did some sloppy overclocking this morning on one of the rigs. The one at stock is mining at 20.5 - 21 mh/s each. The other one I got the power limit to 80% and memory to +750, didn't touch core and cards are hitting 24 mh/s on eth. I'm pretty sure I can take the memory a bit higher even. Seems like samsung memory really makes huge difference.

Hi, I'm mining zcash with dstminer with 6 gtx 1060 Msi gaming x plus 6gb and getting about 340sols with settings: power limit 70%, core clock +100, mem clock +450. I just bought power meter to measure power consumption from the wall and its showing about 830w which is way too high for that power limit. I then tried to change power limit (higher and lower) with MSI AB, and power consumption barely changes even when I go to 100%. Then I figured no matter what power limit I set, voltage remains about 1050mv, so I guess I'm not changing anything with that power limit slider.
Any suggestion?
Thanks

Your power slider should be affecting the watts your cards drain. Maybe it's the bios of the cards not being affected by changes you make in the OC software? I had similar issue on a 970 evga with dual bios, with voltage control though. It also depends on your PSU efficiency. Try lowering power limit to 60% or 55% even and see if then power from wall drops below 800w. Just so you know if the slider is really not working. Make sure to apply settings to all cards.

You may be able to go lower on ethash as well. I run mine @70.

They are, few posts back you'll see I just said I bought 12 of them, luckily all with samsung memory and they mine pretty good so far. They'll pay back investment before they become less profitable or unusable... and with the shortage of cards on the market, you shouldn't be that picky Cheesy

Price 3 gigs cheaper than 6gigs, if 3 gigs mining ETH for 2 years again isn't safe but for mining Equihash not problem.

because of Equihash different from Ethash that needs to load Dag file using VRAM from that's processed.

When I lower power limit to 50% then power consumption drops to 680w and voltage in MSI shows 930-950mv, but almost every other power limit shows the same voltage and power consumption from the wall. Even when i pushed it to 104% from 70%, power consumption remained 830w and again cards at 1050mv. What is the problem?

Check you haven't set 'Force constant voltage' in AB settings

One of my Windforce OC 3GB (Hynix) also gets 815 h/s in hsrminer, other one also Hynix max ~785 h/s. As faster one is with little lower voltage and cooler temps I suppose it's just upto "sillicon lottery" with vga GPU. Having same situation with two identical older 280x's ...
