The word ponzi itself means scam itself, do you know why is it a ponzi? The new investor's money will be use to pay the old investor. As usual it is effective as they offer low interest rate so that they accumulate funds and attention. When eveything looks alright your money will be gone in seconds, just what happen to HashOcean users in which all of there money is gone without a trace.

Ponzi scheme and pyramid scheme although are similar to each other but they are different in some aspects. and you should know that they are both methods of scamming people and stealing their money.
what you described is a pyramid scheme where participants should fool others into joining so that they can get their money or part of it back. a Ponzi however is when everyone gives their money to a "fake business" and may or may not get paid slowly!

I had an experience about mining. I had  already scammed but I learn with my mistake because I was only beginner yesterday but now I have some learnt about mining. I'll share you my tips, maybe it could help you. Not all mining is scam there are some site are not. If the mining is (HYIPs) or High Yield Paying Site or high daily interest, you should put in your mind why the interest is so big. However, that was the strategy of scammers to victim a lot of innocent people.
        You need to invest your Bitcoin in low interest, and you need to research if that site is HYIPs or pending payment only or not paying. If not then go, invest your Bitcoin but not all your Bitcoin then if you receive your first payment, its safe to reinvest or deposit your Bitcoin again, that's all.

I'm sure they know more about than all the "warners" who have never tried ponzi shemes.

Is that a rhetorical question? Cause btc itself is a investment, you don't need to invest it. You don't buy gold and invest, then ask where to invest gold. Bitcoin don't need further investment, while you could buy and sell weed if you are in USA states. Maybe open a business with it.

While bitcoin is already an investment on its own because of its speculative and volatile nature, nothing says that it cannot be channeled into other means of production (invested) to create more of it. Just about anything that is an asset can always be invested and that includes gold. Gold can be used as equity contribution in a start up company, it can be lent out, it can be deposited in a bullion, etc.

As for the ideal place to invest bitcoin, honestly there is none in sight at the moment, because a lot has happened in this industry to suggest that we seem to have much more rouges/scammers in the cryptocurrency industry than legitimate entrepreneurs. As such the best bet investment eventually boils down to buying and holding your bitcoin and in a cold wallet, waiting for the price to appreciate, which it does, from time to time.

actually i think asking other people for advice is a good thing, because it is like brainstorming and also it is a good way of using other people's experiences.
but you have to be careful about the replies you get. there is always bad suggestions along with good ones. so you have to consider all bad until proven otherwise.

I suggest you to invest in trading sites. I think you mean using exchanges to trade on. Because trading its best way to earn. Trading at all times is better than investing your money into something as with trading you are the one that is responsible for the actions you take.
But for trading and earning handsome amount you need little bit experience. With enough experience and knowledge you'll find yourself making more than decent profits when you use the volatility of Bitcoin in your advantage

What's the chance to someone earn 115 btc in a bet? This sounds crazy and looks like an inside job...

I think it will be better that we invest in a business which will be in our own control and will not have control of any other person so that we do not give control to any other person over our money and we ourself take care of our investment and business.

Now I only save my bitcoin and never invest my bitcoin it is good time to hold bitcoin because bitcoin will be more increasing its price due to high demand. And then we can get a big profit from bitcoin sooner in the near future , so i think now hold is better than invest bitcoin. Find investment sites that is safe to invest your BTC. If you go to trading then you learn the art of trading first before you invest your hard earned bitcoins.
