I have promoted the Bitcoin movement on other forums where I am most active. For example:
http://www.hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=3017930
Screenshot in case of blocked access:
http://i.minus.com/irBaurCtKqeov.png
Proof that I own the account who posted that thread can be provided upon request.

Recently I have acquired a new interest in moving all my online commercial activity to Bitcoins.
After experiencing many disappointments in other communities where Bitcoins are not yet well known, I've decided to finally move to this forum.
I would like to be whitelisted in order to be able to post in the market place section as soon as possible.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Oh wow, posts like that are extremely dangerous to the Bitcoin brand. Before you make posts like that in the future, you should check out the public relations page and search the forum here for other discussions about how to spread the word in a way that won't get you hated and banned on other websites.

I am sorry. I realise, after reading the public relations link, that my article promotes some unwanted ideas. I hope you understand that my intentions where good and I wasn't trying to do any harm to the Bitcoin brand. I'll make the corresponding changes to my article.

Oh, don't worry, I know that. It's just that this has been a constant problem and it has left a bad taste in the mouths of many people. However, I'm glad that you're here and ready to learn how to market Bitcoin in a more sensible way. Do some searching around, there's plenty of good information here about marketing Bitcoin and actually marketing psychology in general.

I thought you post was pretty good. It just lacks experience.

Hello, I'm having problems and I want to post in the Mining support section. I have enough posts, but I'm not sure if I will be able to spend 4 hours on the forum anytime soon.

I'm mining in Slush's pool with my laptop right now, but I can't seem to get the graphics card on my desktop to work. My laptop is getting around 70 Mhash/s and it heats up pretty fast. I'd rather use my desktop, which doesn't want to work with me right now. I've installed the most recent version of Catalyst for my desktop's graphics card and the AMD APP SDK with OpenCL support, but none of the programs related to OpenCL are working, such as GPU Caps Viewer and GUIMiner and all the other gpu miners I've tried.

Thanks,
MC10

Ok, a photo with a shoe on your head while holding some piece of paper, with your forum handle on it, could get you a six pack right now.

Hi,
Some points in my favour:
*Been into bitcoin since summer 2011
*Have had a fortune of 120 bitcoins (have a little less than half of that now, due to some purchases  Smiley )
*I have built GPU rigs which I mines with for the latter half of 2011
*Even though I havent been a member here, I have been reading the forums weekly (daily during some periods)

I am reading a course at my university which covers bitcoin to some extent, which is why I wanted get out of the newbie forum and post a thread on the main forum.

Hope you can let me out of this jail  Smiley

I would love to be whitelisted.

Am new to BitCoin but have done over 40 hours of research so far and am planning some products based on the system pending more research and discussion.

For now I will be participating where I can and also have some unique goods to offer in the marketplace including basically everything you would find in a head/smoke/tobacco shop available at 10-40% off. Will ship first to trusted people to built reputation. Funding from sales is going to develop the bitcoin related website I am planning.

Thanks for considering.

If you have a need to be allowed into the forum beyond before you have completed the required 5 posts and 4 hours logged in, please post your request here. You must provide evidence that shows that you either understand more about Bitcoin than the average newbie, or that what you want to post can only be done in another forum. Reasons such as "I'm not a spammer" will be ignored. Try to be as specific as possible.

If you learned of Bitcoin through a currently established member of this forum who feels that you are ready to be released to the rest of the forum or who is willing to mentor you, or if you want to make a new account that is separate from your already-existing established forum account, have the existing user/account vouch for you after you have made your request.

If you are asking to be whitelisted because you are having a problem with something, we generally look more favorably on people who have already attempted to solve their issue in the Newbie board. Even if you end up not qualifying for preemptive whitelisting, your post might still qualify for being moved to another board if you have received insufficient help after a few hours.

Please note: If you see "Jr. Member" by your name, you have already met the 5 posts and 4 hour requirements and don't need to post here. Additionally, after you meet the requirements, it can take up to 10 minutes for your account to be automatically upgraded.

Quite simply put, I'd like to post in the dwolla -> MtGox/BTCs thread or be able to PM members so I can convert dwolla $s into BTCs.  The way the whole system is setup is currently *very* slow to get one's self up and running.  I've mined coins in the past and I definitely feel I know more than the basics, though I'm certainly no expert.
Thanks.

I would like to request to be white listed.

I've been mining since April of this year and I have rarely found a use for me to post on the forums as I learned a lot of what I know from people at Ozcoin and various other websites. However that day has finally come where I'd like to pose a question about DGM difficulty calculation, yet I have to do posts in the newbie forum before I can do that.

I have been running an IRC network with forums for over 15 years so I think I might qualify for knowing how to behave on a forum.

Thanks

You can post that thread here in the newbie section, and if it merits discussion by other members who do not frequent this part of the forums, PM me and I'll move it and whitelist you altogether.

It would be nice if I could get out of here. I'm a regular at BTC-E, but mostly a lurker on the forums. I bet a few of the regulars around here would know me and vouch for me...
