Can you whitelist me, please? I'd like to add my info to the BLF wait list. Does that qualify?

Brand new to these forums but not at all new to the world of btc. I'm looking for trusted vendors to buy from via cash bank deposit. Anything else I need to do to be whitelisted?

Hello, I'm having problems and I want to post in the Mining support section. I have enough posts, but I'm not sure if I will be able to spend 4 hours on the forum anytime soon.

I'm mining in Slush's pool with my laptop right now, but I can't seem to get the graphics card on my desktop to work. My laptop is getting around 70 Mhash/s and it heats up pretty fast. I'd rather use my desktop, which doesn't want to work with me right now. I've installed the most recent version of Catalyst for my desktop's graphics card and the AMD APP SDK with OpenCL support, but none of the programs related to OpenCL are working, such as GPU Caps Viewer and GUIMiner and all the other gpu miners I've tried.

Thanks,
MC10

Did you miss my request or is that just not a valid reason? I guess I'll try asking it in this newbie section.

Yeah, if the reason you want to get whitelisted is because of a support issue, we'd prefer if you made a thread here first. If nobody helps you after a day or so, let us know and we'll move it to the proper board (you'll still be able to respond even if you aren't whitelisted). However, there are generally some pretty knowledgeable people who watch this board, so give them a chance.

Hello
I am not new to BTC. I know how it works.
I will not spam the forum with anything, I won't go around asking stupid questions or anything like that.
I am only interested in 1 section only : the marketplace... I will just use this one, I'm not interested about the rest.
I want to sell torrent tracker invites there, that's why I signed up.

Thank you!

Hi,

I'm Tuco, I introduced myself here.

I would like to get whitelisted because:
  • I have known about Bitcoin for a while,
  • I will not spam the boards in any way (I already know the answers to all noob-level questions),
  • Because I'm nice Smiley

Random fact to prove that I definitely do not deserve to be locked into newcomer jail: "Luke-jr's pool was the first one to pay directly in the coinbase".

Thank you very much!

Hello! How's life today?

I have been reading bitcoin talk threads for about a week now, and just two days ago registered, although I keep forgetting to log in when I'm reading threads.  Embarrassed  So I am not yet eligible to post outside "Newbies."

I have an idea for a new bitcoin linux distro that would be combined with a bitcoin wallet and a bitcoin miner(s). Therefore I would like to post my idea in the "mining > mining software" forum
The idea I have for this new distro is basically to take this bare-bones command line only linux distro that is (initially and w/out added software) only 8 megabytes in size and add a command line only bitcoin miner(s) and possibly a wallet to it.  I need a little help with the process of remastering the .iso file available from this website to include the software I select as well as have a persistant compressed file in the .iso file (that's just the way this distro does persistance in live usb's and cd's)

Thank you for your consideration,
Towelie

Dear Sir/M'dam,

I still can't reply out of here...

I wanted to alert the (worried) people in this thread...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=80845.860
... Pyramining posted a status on his twitter account...
https://twitter.com/Pyramining
... saying that...
The #pyramining website is down. No estimate yet when it will be back up. #bitcoin

I sure hope everything is OK overthere, because the website gives a bad gateway error,
and I myself have also invested some of my BTC in Pyramining.com ...

but I'm afraid I can't share this info, because I'm still not whitelisted?
what do you need to know about me to change this?

Regards,

Hi there, I just don't want to post all kinds of uninteresting drizzle in irrelevant topics just to meet the quotum. I am hanz, aka realhanz, often to be found on btc-e.com and known for... well, the occasional tip when somebody can't get their miner running at full speed et cetera. A full time IT professional for over 11 years, I feel a bit like Michael Schumacher not allowed to touch the steering wheel of a car.

Oh, and besides that, I'm from Holland. That should count... yes?

I've referred him to trade with a specific person on this forum, but he is unable to communicate because of the newbie status.

Hello. I own http://www.btcknowledge.com/  which just opened up today officially. I'd like to start a thread about our amazing new service, so that we may fill up our 'knowledge base.'

Here is our about page:

While we won't say exactly what 'truth' is, we do however allow any individuals to submit their own 'knowledge'. BTCKnowledge offers user-uploaded content on a wide spectrum of categories and subcategories-- absolutely free. We encourage specialists around the world to upload their own content. Why? Not only should 'knowledge' be free, but its authors ought to be tipped. BTCKnowledge offers an exclusive bitcoin-tipping system in which directly tips its authors purely from from the generosity of an individual. Every individual that downloads a file (.pdf, .doc, .docx, .txt) is prompted to tip the uploader's BTC address.

The reader's perception of the quality of the content will likely yield higher tips.

Please be generous in your tips.
Keep an open-mind.
Submit your truth.

Of course, when mentioning M. Schumacher I did not mean that I am a genius, just a guy with a more than average interest in computers, networks and cryptocurrencies.
I think that the real geeks (picture: long hair, dirty T shirt "No I will not fix your computer", sandals, pizza) would consider me just half a geek, because I don't limit myself to Linux.
A member of the general public would call me a nerd, if I'm not too close. No big deal, it's a an honour to me if they do.

I would like to discuss the future of bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies, the future of banks, the necessity (if any) of bitcoin banks, et cetera.
If I have to post in topics which don't interest me that would make me sad...

Might as well join the fray...

Been lurking among the Bitcoin world since the infamous bubble of 2011, and been lurking here specifically for over a year now. Finally decided that it might be a good idea to stop lurking and get a bit more involved.

As for experience with cryptocurrencies, I only have a tiny three-machine BTC/LTC farm at the moment. One of these days, when ASICs actually ship, I might pick up something more fancy, but for now the PCs are doubling as small space heaters and my place has poor insulation so it's all good. Cheesy

Hi

Hoping I can get out of here as Ive definitely been lurking for a while.  Ive PMd quite a few people including helping a guy with setting up his miner.  I also just gave a suggestion to the guy who had 2600 BTC stolen from him by that hacker/trojan!

14kPkfzYdAX3VdL2Uj5KEzqzJTHmY8QroQ (donations welcome! lol) is an addy of mine you could see traffic in and out of to see I am an active member.  All though new to the community, I'm hoping to make some contributions and am looking to purchase an ASIC or two in the near future.

Thank you!

If you have >100 posts play the Circle of Trust Game  If I have helped you in any way, or you are just feeling generous... please feel free to donate! Smiley LNarfMNLyymkS9WYQFLcmr46AeMYNP8Qj2
