this is a really nice idea to force everybody to read the main rules  i'm not a troll, spammer or something similar. i'm a really newbe, i'm here to learn more about bitcoin  i started 1 month ago to mining, but i need to understand every mechanism of bitcoin's world bye all |

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Hi, Could I be whitelisted, thanks. I joined 5 months and mostly lurk so forgot to get whitelisted, as I found out today when I wanted to compare Ron Paul and Krugman to Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. As for bitcoin, who knows what will happen, it'll either go down with a 51% attack or reach 100 dollars...

I just made a new account... my old account carnagex420x was made and never used until i started a merchant page. If I am going to start from the bottom I'd rather start with an account I'm going to use.

I just made a new account... my old account carnagex420x was made and never used until i started a merchant page. If I am going to start from the bottom I'd rather start with an account I'm going to use.

I did my last request without enough posts, so here goes one with 5 posts. I'd like to participate in the trading and the marketplace forum to buy and sell bitcoins and ask questions. I'd like to understand what risks are still involved, why the market cap is still so low, only 50 million, and whether this has something to do with the possibility of a 51% or the impossibility to scale bitcoin into the mainstream.

I've been a long time lurker, Bitcoin user. I never got into the whole mining phase but I'm looking at funding my bitcoin now. Have some vouchers to sell (redeemable for luggage bags retailing for 160 USD on amazon) and would really like to be able to post to the market place sometime soon.

Bitcoin first-timer here. Been lurking this, and other e-currency boards for months to gain a little knowledge before I invest in something unstable.  Came to the conclusion that bitcoins would be my prefered currency, and as I have a few games I lost interest in, I would love to make a trade instead of just having them for no reason. RS |

I am not into chit-chat, but I'd like to have something to say. Right now I'd like to start a topic in the alternate cryptocurrencies section, but can't. I lurk a lot, all the time on my phone almost and could have something to say, really - to those topics that matter to me. I just don't have the time to get 100 posts or how many it has to be to be able to post. I thought 5 will suffice, it didn't. I've been watching Bitcoin before Silkk Road came but forums just aren't my thing.

It is 5 posts, but it takes a few minutes for the automatic script to change your account. You should be able to post by now, if not pm me (or theymos). |

I'd like to be whitelisted. I've been semi-involved in the Bitcoin community since December 2010. The first transaction that I made was with address <redacted> on the <redacted>. To verify this address I will send <redacted> BTC to it after I post this, then to the bitcoin faucet at 15ArtCgi3wmpQAAfYx4riaFmo4prJA4VsK. From July-September 2011 I ran a Namecoin mining pool ( http://dot-bit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=325), which transitioned over to merged mining. It was one of the first pools (from the Namecoin side) to mine a block using merged mining. (Block #148857). My payment script had an error and the automatic payout script kept paying out until the wallet was empty (6 times over), and due to this I closed the pool (it was a little too much of a time investment). My account here was registered around that time, but I never officially announced the pool due to not feeling it was ready for a higher load and a lack of confidence that everything worked well enough (which unfortunatly proved right). If you'd like I can verify the above is my account (via PM on dot-bit.org, unless you have any alternate suggestions) I wish to be whitelisted because I have a significant (to me, at least) number of coins in the Gamma Bitcoin Fund and wish to post in the thread. - XertroV |
