good to know that we can receive free coins... is there any other coins doing free distribution?

Stellar Lumen.

And bitcore also

Please provide link of Bitcore. Tried to find but did not found.

+1

but about stellar lumens, I am not going to take part of that distribution because they ask your very personal information. you are basically selling your real life identity information for a couple of lousy worthless stellar tokens. I'm not falling for this trap. stellar devs can go fuck themselves with their draconian distribution policy.

There are few participating exchanges for stellar giveaway, you can just deposit btc to these exchanges and will be credited AFAIK.

So sad that you need btc for these airdrops (I really like byteball!!) and I'm almost empty now Sad

I used a Facebook account without my real name. It worked fine on Stellar.

Me too. I quit when asked to afford the personal information.

Hey guys.
I am interested to learn more about the DAG /tangle technology behind Byteball (and IOTA).
Is there any link to written or video explanation to how this works, why it has advantages vs a blockchain etc. etc.

Thanks in advance!

Questions about next distribution...

1. Can I link several bitcoin acounts to the same Byteball address?

2. When checking my current byteball address (which isn't empty) it says that it contains 0 byteballs although I clearly see this isn't the case. The address is the same address I used in the last dirstribution and I haven't moved any bites since. What do you think is wrong here? Do I have to move my bytes to a new byteball address before the next distribution in order to get the 20% extra?

Thanks!

1 - yes. it's unlimited.

2 - dunno. it sounds a little strange. if your balance shows up here - https://explorer.byteball.org/  i assume you're gonna be ok. it might only be a quirk in your wallet.

I am going to try this one using these links, thanks a lot for sharing it with us. Of course this was very reason I didn't send a signed message to share my personal information along side with facebook to get few stellar. It is better to buy some if needed. No compromise over privacy and security at no price.

First result of search on Google gives me https://bitcore.io  Wink

Please provide link of Bitcore. Tried to find but did not found.

If you want to know more about the tech you should read the white papers. Either of Byteball or of IOTA depending on what implementation you are interested in more.
You can find IOTA white paper here https://iota.org/IOTA_Whitepaper.pdf
and Byteball white paper here https://byteball.org/Byteball.pdf

Have fun  Cool

Yo, thanks, I read the Byteball WP a few months back. Most oft it at least. Seems I don't remember much, also didn't understand everything back then.
Anyway, will have a closer look. again, now.

BUT, I am still looking for easier digestable info - I would wish for a guy like/on a level of Andreas Antonopoulos to explan a DAG / tangle to me.  Cheesy
So, if anyone can direct me to a source of something like that I'd be happy.

Was thinking to actively promote byteball. I noticed byteball is not even considered in places like : https://www.coinpayments.net

This is really bad. I already asked them to add byteball or at least to put it on vote list. i think if we all take small part in to this we can have something big.

Should I wait for my node to completely sync? How large is the DB now? What is average time for a complete sync?

Stay calm and I can help you dump Iotas for Byteball.

Byteball wallet takes so long to synchronise. Hope it will be done before the next airdrop. But then I''ll have to transfer BTC's in it so that's going again to take ages. Crypto world is turning into snail world..

When is next airdrop for Byteball?

   July 9, 2017 at 04:07 UTC

Beware of change addresses in your BTC wallet AND in your byteball wallet for the next distribution round!
Byteball distribution companion helps you.

          Is you address properly linked?
Is your linked BTC balance what you expected?
Are all your bytes on your byteball linked address?
          How much will you receive?

+Bookmark. Once distribution has started you can follow in near real time when bytes arrive in your wallet. Enjoy!

Thank you, but I've got so much GBs that I don't know where to spend them to, I can buy your iotas for GBs if you wish.
