Is Paypal a scam?

I was a genuine regular user of paypal but since there were serious restrictions imposed on paypal in my country I started preferring bitcoin. I don’t think paypal is a scam but yes I feel that they seriously need a self assessment to improve the quality of user experience. They have many buyer favoring policies so no one is ready to deal bitcoin to paypal deal since transactions are reversible even after several weeks, they need something which would favor both buyer and seller.

I somewhat disagree with your stance. I also think that PayPal is favoring buyers, but look at this from a different angle. If you buy something from a big reseller, and something goes wrong (say, your purchase is not delivered on time or just gets lost), how high are your chances to get your money back? If you were paying with a Visa/Mastercard, you could request a chargeback, but other than that you would be pretty much screwed. So PayPal is, in a way, equalizing the buyer and the seller in their rights and capabilities.

I read some of the complains, it looks like users don't read how the service works and what fees it charges, they sign up for the service and assume it works like they imagine in their head, when it turns out it works some other and they just needed to read some documentation to know that, and here's when they complain...

Paypal is not scam paypal is one of the most awesome payment in internet where you can use it to buy such as things and many more, THere are lots of things that can do with paypal but it doesn't mean that Paypal is scam they upgrading there securities to higher level where they can detect frauds.

True. It is a known website so there are a lot of transactions that will be done there. It is not Paypal's fault though. It is the people that are using it. The same way is happening with bitcoin they are now using this currency to do their evil scams.

But sometimes really we cannot take out the fact that thos processor has been used by those numerous fruad people to reverse their transaction and that is really the danger upon dealing with paypal, so for now i really avoiding to have some transaction regardless to these processor if i don't know if my co dealmates are legit,

But for the positive though's paypal ia legaly safe if used nice and their are so many stores accepting paypal, and it mattwr really that some users abused the dispute feature of paypal and that make others thinks it is scam.

what reasons exactly, i never had any problem with my funds being freezer for no reason, usually it's because you did something wrong like surpassing the 2500 euro limit per year, or 1000 per day, without removing them first, via identification

Devious people can do this over and over, ten times or more daily.  The bank account goes negative and Paypal gets stuck with the bill.  That is why they seem hard to deal with sometimes.  A phone call to them usually resolves any issues.

Could you please expand more on what these people are doing exactly? Not that I'm going to do something like that myself, just curious. And others might be curious too. Also, could you explain how a bank account can turn negative at the same time leaving PayPal holding the bag? I don't think this is ever possible. As I get it, they are a financial intermediary in a deal between the buyer and the seller. I might be wrong on this, though (don't know much about their specifics).

i do not think that paypal is scam because i personally used paypal for online shopping and for other and it worked with actively but paypal is not available in some countries ,so we can not blame that paypal is scam.

paypal did scaming, they forbid the use of PayPal for some countries because it is their rules. possible to minimize their losses. of course they have their own reasons why they blocked that country

I have also suffered several issues with Paypal, and that is why at this moment I have stopped my transactions in bitcoin; only when there is no alternative I would accept paypal, otherwise I prefer to stay away from Paypal.

The worse thing about paypal is when you deal with a bad person, i do remember had sold a game account in the past and i asked to the buyer to send to one adress, but those new adress i couldnt moove the money, some rule paypal has now, soo i refunded and asked to him send to the main adress, the result were i did lost the game account and the money, because i had no acess to the email registed of the account. The big problem were the funds were frozen from paypal without any valid reason just because i had created a fresh account, thats something that made me left them long time ago.

I like paypal as a payment method.
Ebay or online purchases that are delivered to my home address, I do them mostly with paypal.
I think it is easy to use, and if something goes wrong they have already helped me to get my funds back.
But I never keep any money on my account there. Just like I try to avoid having bitcoins on exchanges.

I think a lot of things going on paypal are many people who can do the hacking is easy to get into you paypal account instead of being a scam but paypal system is too weak, I think the security measures alone are not enough for a security system in its class paypal

Paypal ever be one means of payment which was enthused by the people in the world of the Internet, paypal aren't scams maybe just a coincidence you see people complained of the same thing with you.

I do not think paypal is a scam service, I have a paypal account because I am required to do so for the payment of being a freelance and so far I have no problem with paypal, maybe that is just your experience but I am pretty sure majority of the users are contented with the service and would not say it's scam.

To say PayPal is a scam is actually a biased statement coming from someone who either never uses PayPal or has some bad experience.
PayPal is not scam but unfortunately mostly used by scammers.
Just like bitcoin should not be given bad if it is used by bad people, PayPal doesn't become scam if used by scammers

No, Paypal is not a scam. Many people also use this same as bitcoin and i think paypal is not scammer. Maybe the problem is about the rules that really strict on paypal, not like bitcoin that don't have any strict rules on it.

I think there is no problem with the rules on paypal they provide a pretty good rule. yeah they did scaming, if you've lost money in paypal it's because there are hackers who managed to get into your account and steal your money, yeah paypal system is very weak
