I would also recommend that you stay away from Paypal like all the other people on that website is saying. Paypal freezes your funds for 180 days for unknown reasons. You could always exchange your Paypal funds into Bitcoin funds in the Currency exchange board. So, if you don't want somebody disputing their payments to you, or getting your account frozen for 6 months, then go ahead and convert all your Paypal funds into Bitcoin.
Great advice! Thanks. I have never thought about this. I use PayPal, but I don't trust them in 100%. Why I should give them the opportunity to invest my money when they froze my account for 6 months. |

i do not think that Paypal is scamming because paypal is very popular and great service for online shopping and i think that there is people against of paypal and they want to spread wrong news about paypal. these are those people who have get locked their money at paypal without any big issue and paypal do not refund their hard earned money so in this case those people can say that yes paypal is scamming. If someone deposit their money in an account in paypal and trust on paypal for their money then paypal have to take care of them and their money. |

If someone deposit their money in an account in paypal and trust on paypal for their money then paypal have to take care of them and their money. They are just misunderstanding to use paypal if their account was lock they need to talk to the support directly in phone or skype much better.. i experience of some issue but they are said their need to verify because they want the maximum protection for our funds.. So they need some verification that you the real owner if you are just earning money already without verifying your account and get lock soon i think they are just asking for verifying so before you can use your paypal make sure that it is verified so that you will not experience somethings like that. paypal is not scam in my experience. |

I know and used Paypal more than 10 years and last 3 years I'm not used Paypal again. My balance about $15 was locked with reason L must verify credit card. I used my valid credit card but rejected. I don't know because I always use my credit card. After that I sure Paypal is scam.

Some people can get the impression that it is a scam based on some of the shady business practices that they've done in the past, like (relatively) unexplained account freezes, account shutdowns, and so forth. Overall their site is quite good and it is the most popular online payment service, but there are a few bad cases here and there. |

I just want to point out that when PayPal freezes your money, you are essentially giving them an interest free loan.
I've noticed that now credit cards are doing the asme thing. Citi, for example, calls it a "payment float," where they hold your payments for up to 3 weeks.
BTC eliminates these kinds of questions...

Paypal is a great company, I'm sure they wouldn't be a scam. If there is a problematic user with paypal of course there is a strong reason, most of them are unwilling to verify data.

Part of the problem, as I have just learned from another post, is that PayPal may not operate as well in other countries as it does in a North America. Especially emerging economy countries like in south east Asia. I guess I had originally just assumed policies would be uniform.

Paypal is not a scam and I vouch for that. I have been using their service since 2007 and never got any problem with them. It's just that they are a bit more stringent than other payment processors as they are legit and don't want dirty money to enter in to their system and nothing else. They work as per the government norms.
In my country, users can't keep their money in to the paypal account. Whatever the money you will receive, it will be automatically transfer to your bank account due to my country's law. But still I use my paypal account to transfer my bitcoins to fiat.
