Maybe he wants to grab more cheap XZC? Within 3months price will be - let's see - maybe 1-3k satoshi.
Where did you see that? Do you have a crystal sphere? Can I rent it?  It's remarkable that a lot of people are hunting for a quick return, but don't even try to invest in projects that have the basis for getting big in the future. I think blockchains that deal with infrastructure and associated services have future. That's why I've invested in BTS, SJCX, EMC, ETH, SYS - even a little money in fancy ICOs like WAVES and HEAT (but not too much, because I don't see them succeed). I think blockchains that deal with anonymization of transactions have future. That's why I've invested in DASH, XMR, SDC, XZC. They all try more or less different ways. The one of Zerocoin is conceptually the one that's easiest to grasp, if you know crypto coin tumblers/mixes and are happy that you don't have to rely on external parties, but on a blockchain protocol. I'm not talking about the math behind the accumulator! Things that can be understood to a certain degree create confidence whereas complicated things make hesitant. I might be wrong, but that's my stance. And no, I haven't bought ZEC. I appreciate the concept that was implemented in Zerocash (although I find some attributes inferior to Zerocoin), because it's complementary to Zerocoin and I like diversification, but the price is just too high. XZC's rate is far below DASH, XMR and below SDC. That's why I continue to accumulate XZC |

For what it is, if you see the amount of functionality that this coin already offers even compared to other established anonymity coin projects, beyond the mining algo, the rest of the changes aren't critical to make it a coin that can be used right now. It's more of an adoption issue.
This doesn't mean we're resting on our laurels of course and active development continues.

As you correctly mentioned, the coin has a lot of advantages and a lot of tech already implemented and working. What it misses the most is marketing (including awareness raising, but not limited to that only). At the beginning some popularity of zcoin was caused by zcash hype, but now its over and zcoin should be marketed indepentently, first of all, to underline its benefits and inherent advantages over zcash. Otherwise the general public will always think it is just another fork of zcash, and even forget it was ready before zcash even started! Tech is great, but without marketing it often worths almost nothing. Whats your plan on marketing this coin? Anyone being hired to make the noise and start to make this bigger than its competitor zcash?  |

Beside an algo , website and few other technical updates, what stand are you taking to resolve adoption and marketing issues ? Adoption issue is critical in my opinion, because even with great features, technology, and everything, if it's not adopted and accepted highly in market, it will remain losing it's usefulness, and might worth nothing in future, as people may be disappointed and keep moving off the project, so you really need to take it seriously, and act upon it, allocate decent budget for marketing, awareness, adoption, expansion on different platform. This doesn't mean we're resting on our laurels of course and active development continues.

Im always checking the price of Zcoin in the market and as I observed seems the price is stagnant. I dont know yet if I have to invest in this coin. You'd think a guy $500k invested in this thing would be a bit more proactive....
he realized he was scammed by indonesian vertcoin dev parapin who stole the work from a university colleague. |
