Bitcoin Bank the idea is good, but this plan will not work out. If you want work out, this idea means the first thing you need that your government will accept Bitcoin as a legal currency. First, solve this problem after words we can discuss Bitcoin Bank. Till that, this is a unnesssory discussion.
I certainly agree to that, bitcoin bank is nice idea. However, there still no bank who accept bitcoin as deposit of their client. In addition to that, I think if there’s a bank who accept bitcoin I guess they can’t handle it well because of the price of bitcoin that doesn’t have exact value in the online market. Lastly, I still believe that in the future there will banks who totally accept bitcoin. Is the point not to hold the bitcoin yourself and not the bank. Why have a third party at all when we can control our own funds easily. Makes no sense.

Lastly, I still believe that in the future there will banks who totally accept bitcoin. Online wallets pretty much acts like a bank, and just like online wallets, bitcoin banks would have to sell right away (dump) or buy right away (pump) in an exchange and add some percentage so they can yield interest without having to pay for the cash out amount with their own money. With the statement that you just said, you and I should come up to a conclusion that there should be no online wallet that can handle things well. But that's obviously false. Not in the future, but literally right now the banks can do that. Online wallets that make this only have a small team and the banks have, like, the whole government supporting them. On the other hand, the banks won't do that because they don't really want the idea of bitcoin to be known by everyone.

I'll be honest, im between Yes or No. Yes because it might help to lessen the abuse and criminality that bitcoins be used by anonymous drug or terrorists personalities. No because it might be the chance that the government control us bitcoiners and abuse us by corrupt officials. Whatever really happen, I'll stick to bitcoin until the last satoshi is gone.

Well, let me enlighten you and this will make you go "No" full time. You're saying "Yes" to bitcoin bank because you hate the fact that bitcoin is being used for crimes and shady or illegal transactions. Let me tell you something, the transactions for such activity will obviously not happen in a bitcoin bank. After a bitcoin bank is released, there will still be other ways for storing and sending bitcoins. What we have right now, online wallets, desktop wallets, etc., will still be available even after there is a bitcoin bank out there. The people that are doing illegal transactions will just continue to use these wallets so they wouldn't have to put their personal details and, thus, still be able to do illegal transactions anonymously. Another way to look at it is the fiat money that we have right now. There's still a bank yet there are still millions of transactions for illegal activities going on. They don't use the banks for this. They transact outside the bank by using physical cash. That's basically what's going to happen to bitcoin too.

I don't agree with the idea of having a bitcoin bank since bitcoin is created to be anonymous so if a bank will hold your bitcoin then it means we need to give them our information and they have the hold of our bitcoin. I am happy and contented that I am the one who is managing my bitcoin so I don't need someone else to do it for me.

I am sorry but I don’t think so it’s great idea. We are already having banks for fiat and paying high taxes over our capital. Banks basically control our money. Bitcoins are fine in wallets. At least in this way only the owner has access to his bitcoins. Furthermore I don’t think majority is going to support this idea.

It is possible to think there is no need for a bank. Enough wallet only but with high security. If there is a bank I will run out of my bitcoin because every bank would have to spend money through tax payments

Bank can see your information because before you open an account you are required to agree with their rules and that includes their freedom to look into your account whenever they want to or they need to. You account might not be compromise because you have insurance but you can be a target of kidnapping or any related crimes as you information can be sold by people in the bank who had a bad intention. Sometimes we see banks gets bankrupt and we found the reason that it was an inside job, it's the officers who just use people's money for their interest, so for me it's really hard to trust a bank that's why I limit the amount I put there.

Maybe you're right. But banks will not risk so much. The player loses control when he is overwhelmed with excitement. Such people are dangerous to give dents. And banks are well aware of this. Why do they need such clients? It seems to me that the idea of bitcoin bank is doomed to failure

Yes, I agree with the idea of bitcoin bank as far as all core features of bitcoin are not going to affect. Bank is such an institution which facilitates the flow of funds on larger level and in organized manner so I think bitcoin bank would push the potential of bitcoin on next level everything work out in right manner. It will make the bitcoin more productive and accessible to everyone in organized manner. I support the idea of bitcoin bank.
I agree and in favor of bitcoin bank. Why not? Because we will earn interest plus our bitcoin will be secured and safe with insurance then if the bitcoins and coins go up we will trade it to them directly except if they impose high fees i will take back my vote.

Why would I use bank for my bitcoins? I also think that this idea is stupid, and I don`t know how banks are planning to get into bitcoin community. That will be tricky for them, what can they offer to me (or us) to open bitcoin wallet in some bank, pay monthly account maintenance, what can they do for me, that I can`t do myself? Only one thing fall on my mind and that is high saving rate. I opened some saving calculator and for example best bank in my country offer if I save in my currency 1 000 000 dinars for one year (that is 9 000 dollars) I can earn 90 000 dinars (850 dollars). If I save in foreign currency, for example dollars, 10 000 dollars for one year will bring me 396 dollars. Which is joke, so how big interest they can offer for bitcoin to I be attracted to save my bitcoins in some bank?
Same sentiments here. What "bitcoin bank" really do? We will deposits our bitcoin to him? If that happens, the real essence of bitcoin will be lost I think. People wants to hold or store their bitcoin, where they can spend anytime. I agree that the real essence of bitcoin will be lost in bitcoin bank. I think bitcoin will lost it's anonymous and private transactions through bitcoin bank, it will be like any other bank where transactions can be identified. So I think Bitcoin Bank is not a good idea at all.

The very idea of bitcoin would be destroyed if banks were introduced to the community. We do btc because we want to avoid involvement with the banks. So what would be the use of btc banks? None, absolutely. This is such a joke

Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea. So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.
Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think? p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card OR any centralized service which only ask name and email address.
What purpose could a "Bitcoin bank" possibly have? What would it do? In effect aren't exchanges kind of like "Bitcoin banks" if you leave your Bitcoins there, which by the way is a terrible idea.

I actually think that's a good idea. Bitcoin bank can even be automated with smart contract technology to process lending, depositing and giving out loans. The only issue is, banks need to deal with complicated issues that go beyond the capacity of AI. For example, evaluating risk of firms can be really hard, given the fact that the world is colorful. The core "competitiveness" of a successful bank is the expertise of managing risk rather than automating process or transparency.
