Here's a pretty complete guide on mining Zcash Headless on Ubuntu 16.04 using AMD R9 boards. They are kind of power hungry, so I would recommend something like the AMD RX480. Claymore's linux miner is definitely the way to go right now.

https://blockoperations.com/build-6-gpu-zcash-headless-mining-rig-ubuntu-16-04-using-claymore/

A great guide. Wish I had the money to build and use a rig like that (perhaps with other GPU's)...
Electricity is expensive in Belgium though...

@Claymore
The older cards are optimized well at the last update
but I dont see any improvement for the RX versions
when will we get a update for the new cards?

I'm already working on it.

will their be a speed up for the R8 380 tonga

Yes I will add asm kernel for Tonga in next update (1-2 days).

maybe today v12?

Tried diffrent drivers on my R9 Nano. No "asm" so no speed update... Funny that 290 and 7950 work just great

As mentioned above, use 16.3.2 with fijis.
You get interessting result with this driver on R9 Fury family ?
I got 9 x R9 Fury something like 330-370 H/s (-45% power limit)
With -asm 0 -a 2 parameters.

400@-96mv with 16.3.2 lots of nanos, pro duos...
I can't find a link on this version Sad
Always redirected to latest version on AMD support ... Do you have the link ?

There should be a link to "previous versions" on the page for the latest version.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

I have 2 Rx480 and 1 Rx470

Working perfect with one card directly plugged into pcie x16 and 2 usb powered risers

Now I bought another Rx480 with usb riser

So my problem is with 4 cards plugged into Mother board PC (Win 10) does not boot...
Fans are spinning on all 4 cards
Anybody know why??

Maybe its because of PSU?
Its 750 Watt

I can confirm that the Pro Duo's work with the 16.3.2 driver and 11v asm 0.

I am running it at +7.1% and I am getting 420-425 Sol/s per GPU.

I can't get my 470 to run stable.  it will run for 5-10 min then freeze up. my 370's work. I've ran them seperate and the 370 are stable in v11. I've tried -asm 0, with without dev fee, -wd 1 and 0, -a 1 and 2 with the 470 but it does the same thing in v11,10,9.3  weird thing is 11 would crash but 9.3 was stable now they all don't work and only on the 470.

I have to undervotlage my 4xRX480 4GB to run from a 1000W PSU. Really can't see how 750W would have a chance.

hello guys, how are you all?

I come to you for some help. I would like to know what would be the worst thing to happen if I turn the watchdog off. Will it damage the cards? the point is that I am getting a GPU failure on OpenCL call, and the miner stops. I have shut down the watchdog already, and the miner works fine, but I would like to know if there is a long term damage or something.

Thank a lot guys and happy mining.

Im underclocking and undervolting so I wont have more than 550 Watts at the Wall with 4 cards.

But maybe PSU checks before booting and says 4 cards are too much? Is that possible?

You should get almost twice that with a pro duo? People are seeing them figures on a nano.... anyway what did you use  to undervolt the pro duo?

I think you can try 400H/s from single graphic card.

No doubts it's possible. Question is how do you like more energy consumption? If you can caary on, let's give a sign you made it.

Any suggestions for 400h/s? What do do to get this numbers?
