Hi,

I'm having an issue with my Gigabyte R9 280x (windforce OC).
The card hashrate is at 300+-, (core clock at 1100) but after a while, for no reason the hashrate drops at 50% (and I have noticed that the core clock drops to 501).
I have do reboot the system or disable/enable the card in device manager to hash at 300 again (for a while, after it drops at 150 again)

Anyone else having the same issue or any idea what is causing this?

Yes, check your air flow if in a case or pull the side panel off the case put a small fan pushing outside air directly into the GPU maybe help pushing the air back out of case.
Also, set your fan speed to about 75-80 anymore than that seems useless and I feel it actually runs hotter at 100% make sure cards fan blades are spotless and the radiator fins on heat block are clean.

For those who has 290s. Im getting 360 h/s. But the card runs at 80 degree celsius. 76% fan speed. Is it normal for that card? I have several 280x. And they run at less then 70°.

No one knows ?

I'm getting 310 h/s on 3 x 290x and 383 h/s on a 390

Temps I have capped not to exceed 83. I am fighting the heat of the south now in my garage. But have had higher hashes during the winter. I don't want to burn em up lol

So I would say your h/s vs. temps is very good and about right  

and yes on the 280x's I run 11 of those and the 4 x 280x rigs average 1.1 kh/s and run cool around 72. Great cards for ZEC 

Between 75 and 85 depending on the climate conditions of the region and the cooling system used.

I recently picked up 2 Gigabyte Gaming RX 570's. They're in 2 different machines. I haven't done anything special to them yet as I just wanted to get them in stock. Here's my results thus far:

GPU0 t=72C fan=30%
ZEC - Total Speed: 280.034 H/s
ZEC: GPU0 280.034 H/s

It's the same on both machines. Using Claymore 12.4.

It might be helpful to mention that air volume is more effective than air temp. A large volume of 100F air will cool cards better than a small volume of 50F air. Junkyard air movers/fans from central units will cool far more effectively than an AC unit blowing on a rig. Tried and proved during ASIC scrypt mining days.

At present, after the miner is started and run for some time it shows

Claymore have the same jsonrpc protocol for remote monitoring/controlling, default port is 3333.

You can check it with EthMan, or you can write your own as jsonrpc is well documented. (as i did).
After my miner monitor will be stable i'll release it with a minersit hardware based that can monitor/restart your pc like simple rig resetter but with more features.

Running into problems with 1 of my rig , have there 1x 8990, 1x R9290 and 1x R9 295X2

The rig worked stable for 997 hours without any problem. It freezed in the night and since then I have the watchdog problem and the whole rig freezes after some minutes.

Any idea what got wrong? How to fix it?

Hi guys,

Running into problems with 1 of my rig , have there 1x 8990, 1x R9290 and 1x R9 295X2

The rig worked stable for 997 hours without any problem. It freezed in the night and since then I have the watchdog problem and the whole rig freezes after some minutes.

Any idea what got wrong? How to fix it?

Last gpu has fan at 0%, was it always like that?
Maybe vrm is overheating?

Yes, this is since the begining, its the dual core GPU R9 295X2, it has an AIO cooler and it also shows the temp of just 1 core.

even if i put it on intensity 1 it freezes. Any advice?
