Claymore's ZCash/BTG AMD GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux)

For some reason I am having a ton of issues with MSI 390x on 11.x-12.3
I keep getting crashes and error messages about the 'GPU blocked from receiving data' in windows and 'returned faulty data' in miner. No idea why. 15.12 drivers, Win 10 x64

I have the MSI 390 (no X) and W10 x64. For me 15.12 works although gives pretty less sols than latest drivers.Currently using 17.3.1. Moreover, when I've got "returned faulty data" has been due to the voltage is not enough (trying to undervolt the card, specially the AUX vol, or setting the Memory Clock too high).

Also you might ping the pool's server, opening a Command promt and running for example:

ping zec-eu.suprnova.cc

you'll see if average is too high (above 350ms).

350 ms is SLOOOOOOOOW.

I can ping most servers across an OCEAN in 120-180ms.

In my country within 100ms.

First, thanks for solving the /var/log error in linux, and second, one doubt about the api, asking here but but related also for eth miner:

Using the api I get for ZEC:

Could you say what does each field stand for? I know most of them,

[1]: Running time in min
[2]:Speed, accepted and rejected
[3]: Individual GPUs speed
[4]:  Don't know???
[5]: Don't know also? Something residual about dual mining in eth?
[6] temps and fans
[7]pool
[8] Don't know either, though something related with the mode in eth miner, but not sure after some trys...

Asking this specially for detecting which mode is using in eth miner, if eth only or dual mode, and maybe even possible to identify if coin!=eth with this api result?

For eth I'm getting this two different responses as example, the last position changes... yesterday had a 0,1,0,0 if I'm correct...

And last thing! I'm using python for my monitoring scripts and found problems with python3 because doesn't allow to send string in sockets and only bytes-like object, the problems translating it to bytes like is that doesn't works for claymore server, it asks for dict, the solutions I found where changing code in the server side, I guess I could have some task running in each machine just for translating this requests or some other simpler method, but would be nice if you can update the api to work with python3 and sockets, cause for now I'm using requests and getting the info from the html response generated in each machine, it's not a beautiful way I guess, anyways I'm quite new to both coding, python, apis... maybe it's trivial... here is a link with a similar problem which doesn't works for this case because needs change in server side:

That's great. All the coins that are good to mine are rising and getting more and more profitable (Eth, zec,etc).

What are you all using for ZEC wallet? 

I've been sending my ZEC to my Jaxx osx wallet.  But since claymore is such a bad ass programmer, Jaxx has gotten real sluggish with all of the transactions I have going through now.

Go to settings in Jaxx, clear/reset the cache.  That helps.

Settings > reset cache

I understand a new stable version is coming...

I have not mined for a while but when I was it was with an older claymore version it it worked perfect.... I just installed the latest version but my rig keeps restarting after around 5 minutes of mining...Just want to confirm if everyone is getting similar problems before I start to play around with the rig.

I was having simillar problems, i move from Optiminer on Linux to Claymore on Windows 10, my rig was freeze and shutdown every 30 minutes, i try everything, from fresh drivers, bios updates to risers conection etc. Then i found Cleared version of Win7, i instal 16.3.2 drivers like on Windows 10, make new config and now my rig works 110 hours all the time without any problems, mining 2230 sol/S with 1075-1095W on wall. (Claymore 12.3)
So now i wait for new version to see speeds and stability but before my change 12.3 was totally unstable ( on linux and win10) now i don't have any problems.

Its weird because everything was working fine for me with previous versions...I guess I will wait for this new update from claymore and if that does not work I will try a fresh install as you have suggested.

When using a browser to monitor on port 3333 a line displaying the ttli % is displayed when ttli kicks in.

Code:

Currently -ttli reduces intensity for: GPU0 (-20%)

This helped me understand how -ttli works.

Currently it only is displayed in the console sometimes if the s key is pressed.

Would it be possible to also display it periodically in the console and in the log file?

Newegg has fury x for 253 dollars. If you buy 290x run them at a target temperature of 87 celcius to keep the fan noise down. They are designed for 95 celcius so 87 is not a problem.

Can I ask where you find the information on temperatures for cards? I have mine all set at 75c to be safe, but there is fan noise. I would be interested in knowing.

290x was designed to run at 95c, it's all over the net. At 85c I keep the fan at 66% that mining on an hotel room doesn't affect my sleep. My 290x is the reference noisy one lol

People have purchased PCIe risers from me for delivery to hotels. So there are others doing the same thing!

What I don't understand is how that is profitable? You can't run that many miners in a hotel room? Even cheap hotels cost more than it costs me in electricity to run my miners at home.

i've run in to this phenomenon too..

staff, people traveling on business and the company pays for hotel along with per diem, shared accommodation to lower per night fees are just a few guesses.
