I am using 3x Radeon Pro Duo's

- 15.12 is not compatible.
- 16.3.2 Windows will work with 2 cards and miner too. When the 3rd is installed, the pc will BSOD in a loop with error [System Thread Exception Not Handled (atikpmag.sys)]
- 16.10 all cards will show in windows, miner will hash @ 0
- 17.3.1 all cards will show in windows, miner will crash after launching.

Any suggestions ? thanks in advance !

What mobo? Can you try 16.11.5?

I'm really interested to know cause I'm thinking of sticking 3 pro duo cards in a tower case in the office, but haven't selected the mobo yet...

For Pro Duo it's only 16.3.2 Your problem is not driver related I suppose, try proper mobo, or clean win10 install.

For the price of the Duo you could have had 3 x 6 card RX470 rigs. that is +5000Sol/s vs 2800. Not even counting advantage of the lower power cost.

@TheRider : Z170A XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM EDITION. Will try 16.11.5
@omshree : Tried that.
@Etherion : True when assuming i bought it for 1,500USD. You can buy it for half the price direct from XFX. The main goal was compact rig with lowest noise.
there were problems reported with 170 mobos, MSI particularly, not able to run more than 4 cards ( or 2 dual ? )...

What are you all using for ZEC wallet?

I've been sending my ZEC to my Jaxx osx wallet.  But since claymore is such a bad ass programmer, Jaxx has gotten real sluggish with all of the transactions I have going through now.

You should not use jazz for mining. It says on their site. But I rather have full control of my private key. Installed Ubuntu on virtual box and only I know about my coins

Is it OK to send the mined coins directly to poloniex?

I used to use the linux gui wallet but switched to the windows one: https://github.com/vaklinov/zcash-swing-wallet-ui/blob/master/docs/Readme-Windows.md
I like it, haven't had any issues yet but make sure to back up your .dat and keys files just in case! My Linux wallet crashed but since I had my keys and .dat file I was able to migrate it to the Windows version with little trouble.

Cool , I''ll check it out.

I have all 7970 rigs. I'm still on version 12.0

Is there any real improvement for 7970's in the more recent builds?

I wonder why my Sapphiry Fury Nitro show 0 sols with asm algo. Anyone experienced this?

You need to reduce the intensity to -i 6 or lower.

For 7970, the speed increase between 12.3 and 12.0 is about 2-3%.

That does not help. Tried even intensity 1. With - asm 0 I get 400 sols.

With this card, i only tried (-asm 1) and i get 430+ sols, using 15.12 drivers.
Quick guess, double check your driver version, as Windows loves to forcefully update the driver.

I think the problem is with the driver.

Hi,

12.3 version with one RX480 on Win7 hangs with interesting behavior :

See image (sorry i cant find attachment option here, so used tinypic):

http://i63.tinypic.com/ea35n7.jpg

In other words it looks like miner restarts, but not really, thus number of instances are increasing until system hangs . so ion first fail it starts 2 threads, then 3, then 4... etc (all in one cmd window).

I tried -r 360, but it hangs faster than that Smiley

Im not saving log files, (deleted on every reboot or miner restart) so haven't got this handy now. But maybe you can help be using screenshot.

Thanks

I had a disastrous day today.  I attempted to add a second PSU to my rig along with a RX480.  My rig was 3 r9 380x vid cards and a 750w power supply.  Well I fried my motherboard.  Which led me to having to get a new mobo, and cpu and memory (local fry's no longer carried lower end mobo that I was using).

Well I got everything hooked up, and the rig when only the RX 480 is hooked up runs just fine.  I cannot boot into ubuntu when even 1 of the r9 380x's is plugged into the mobo.  It just seems to hang.

Does anyone know if a 380x and rx 480 are not compatible?  It seems like they use the same drivers.  Not sure what is going on here. Do I just need to throw in the towel and ditch the 380x's and get more rx 480s?

@claymore: can you decrease the wait time when reboot.bat is executed so the miner closes faster? (with cmd option -r 1)

right now i have some kind of problem where the miner hangs in opencl calls and reboot.bat is tried to be executed (the miner shall only exit, no reboot.bat present), but after the execution of reboot.bat the miner doesnt exit but sits there for like 20-30 secs or something and only then exits

would be great if you could reduce that time down to some 1-2 secs
