Somebody who placed order on 31th August also paid for the order? Mine are #90193 and #90832.
No, and I'm #89374. I'm 89356 and i have not received a payment addy yet, but thats ok. As long as they get one to me within a week i'll be alright. Their products are so much higher quality than BITMAIN... i'll wait patiently. It's the quality I'm looking for. The hash power of the S9 is nice, but problems are not so good. I'm replacing my last 2 S7's and where I would normally have had S9's, I'm going for Avalons. I only read good things about them so I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

They run better and they break less. easier to clean and you can wait far longer to clean them. I just cleaned all my gear and after 8 months the 721's were not dirty the s-9's were filthy. Yeah I complained a lot about my aug 6th order but I still put in an order on august 31st.

I'm #89619.... nothing yet.
Decided to take the money I was going to use for the order and invest in a few different cryptos. Made some stupid mistakes on how to get money into my wallet and ended up paying way too much in fees.
Luckily, I'm currently +$80 after making back all the fees.

Cool. However, as I and others have said a lot here: Love the miners but the ordering back-end of their biz after placing the order well... Leaves a lot to be desired and I gather each order is verified/vetted/checked against stock ready to be shipped/etc manually before they send the BTC amount due and address. End result is that it *will* get done. Eventually. Longest I've waited was the last batch, ordered Aug 8 and got the canned order conf invoice and bit about Wire info (despite making it clear am using BTC when I ordered...) was about a week before they asked us 'still want?' and another 1-2 days before they sent the info. Shorted time I've waited was in Feb?, only 2-3 days before I got the amount due/address. Er? They really need to get a decent accounting/stock status/web-ordering biz software.... Been available for decades, ya know?

So in the end it's a patience game if you want the best price possible. If you want immediacy go to eBay and pay the premium price. Without the warranty. I'm willing to wait some time just for the payment option and if I get back ordered a few weeks that's fine

Been available for decades, ya know? I hear ya there... I certainly hope it does not take weeks. If there happened to be a Canaan.io employee reading this thread and wanted a random order number to expedite, MY ORDER IS #89619! Honestly, they seem like a normal company that has faced explosive growth due to a very popular line of products. Unfortunately, it has resulted in their issues with order and production backlog. Hopefully the only negative will be the slow process and wait. I am hoping they don't develop the problems Bitmain is experiencing with quality (S9 and R4)... The only thing worse than waiting months for a miner is waiting months for a miner and then having it quickly die.

On that eBay thing.... With Canaan now offering miners-by-the-pallet I assume that the Resellers is who they are targeting along with large miners. If that's the case (resellers) then would be nice if Canaan worked with them as Authorized Distributors ya know? Do a little Brand Marketing with them? Let the resellers make their markup and handle the holding stock/holding it/reshipping/etc costs -- AND -- allow for customers of the Authorized resellers to have the normal Factory Warranty. That rather is how it works no? edit: @ Didley, They are built like a tank Only weak point is that it is air-cooled and has a fan that *will* fail eventually. To be honest -- since the Avalons use just 4 monolithic heatsinks (1 on each side of each board) these could be fairly easily changed to liquid cooling. Hmmm.... I was rather impressed as the sink fins have tiny fins. Nice touch which doubles the surface area with virtually no change in air resistance..

I think they have solved the customer service/ordering problem.
No more orders are possible for less than 60 units!
Who's in for a bulk buy?

Well the fins on the avalons look like these from the uber-rare and now Ancient A1 miner (Dragon clone) I got from AMT so could be easy to bend some copper tubing into loops and press between the fins on the existing sinks...

Hmmm... I need a better idea of what the whole things looks like, but you could find a way to extend those fins to sit in a very shallow pool of cycling water. Better heat transmission applying the water directly to a larger area of the heat sinks. Obviously... water + electricity = danger... but there are always ways.

Hmm I thought about if I got some to build a custom loop. Maybe custom drill some aluminum and order some ek parts for the loop.
Depending on the size of the chips maybe the new threadripper cpu blocks

Too expensive and unknown in terms of security. But maybe in time he will pay for itself. So it's better to buy not a new one but a supported one, it will somehow help reduce risks.

Halo Platform is one of the fastest Blockchains I've seen yet. They have FREE transactions. 250 Millisecond Block speeds. Smart contracts, Masternodes, blockchain games, and their own high speed DEX with BTC/ETH/USDC pairs. Similar to ETH, Waves, EOS, and more yet with only $1 million mcap. This video showcases the speed and reliability of the blockchain using the DEX, Masternodes (that will soon payout in BTC and ETH), blockchain games, and more! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g74d3ixX7E8&feature=youtu.be

Well, btc price is back down, I was hoping they would have sent out payments when it was high so the actual btc would be lower but looks like the spike is done. But still the weekend so still some days till we hear back on payments. Also seems some people couldn't wait so won't be as many people finalizing their orders.

I was up $200 after I put $2250 into the exchange... then it all tanked. Lol. I spread it out between BTC, ETH, LTC, DASH, and PART though so I wouldn't get crushed by any single drop. Down about $150 now, but it's been coming back up slowly. I wonder if Canaan anticipated the drop so they decided to wait on sending the BTC payment info.
