Do any of you have good experience using the voltage offset +1 option? Do you see any improvement in hashrate or is it just waste of electricity?

Sometimes on this option, I do get a reduced hashrate instead of an improvement.

0 and -1 work well.

+1.  Not good.  Most likely a hot psu is need .ie 12.5 volts on the button

What kind of hashrates can you expect from those voltage settings?

Right now at 0, I'm getting:

Hash Rate
GHS av: 6536GHs
GHS asc: 7412GHs

Seems low to me?

Yes its sort of low, I have those hashrates on -2 offset. however on 0 setting, my average almost tops 8 t/h

need at least 3-5 hour run time.

and you need good psu's that do not sag voltages.

I get 7070 avg  for 2 units  on -2

try dropping to -1 run for a day

your psu  may be struggling  to do   0 offset.

I will be doing my sound deadening on you tube and as part of lowering sound will go from 1 psu doing 2 units  to 2 psu's doing 2 units

the psu fans will slow and the gear will get quieter  and I am sure my 14140 gh /2 = 7070 will grow to more  like  14300 /2 = 7150

with the -2 setting

I just noticed that Canaan's main page is offline. The home page: https://canaan.io/ is replaced with a short message. It seems they are making some updates to the website. But the other pages are still working fine. There is some update with the "Official Distributors" page. It seems they will try to make much wider distributors network than the originally announced from Steve.

One strong distributor can cover all sales for Avalon miners. Miner Warez finally understand this and added shipping to countries recently excluded.

did anyone has experience with Delta 2400watt Platinum 94% efficiency Power Supply 200v~240v  to power 2 Avalon 741 for long term?

I'm thinking at the next summer. Last year we had days with 40 Celsius (104 F) , and i'm not sure if it can handle both of them.   Miners are in a garage, no AC.   Working at a way to exhaust the heat.

My EU country is still not in the list. I send them an email to ask if they ship to my country, they said yes. When I try to add an adress to my account, my country is not in the list.

Why do you go for 741? 741 was a good option compared to Bitmain when ROI was relatively low and Avalon was available without any preorder shit.. Now Bitmain available...

Avalon loose at hashrate, ROI and even send used gear to customers. Without any doubt I went for S9 this time.

Unless they drop the price down or release Avalon 761 I am not in.

How much did you pay for the S9 compared to the 741?

they are low cost enough  to buy a second.

I ended up with five of them.

I will use 2 of them to run 3 avalon's

plenty of overhead that way.

at the moment I have my 2 avalon's on one delta  at -2 volt setting in a 90f room

it uses 11 amp at 240 volts  I suspect  that when I get the other hooked up and run it the amps will drop

I just tried to make an order in minerwarez.com and was absolutely shocked how much they want for shipping to my country.

My order is:
AvalonMiner 741 x 4 = $3192
AvalonMiner Controller x 1 = $100
-----------------------------------------
Subtotal: $3292

The shipping methods to Bulgaria(in the EU) are:
- FedEx International Economy
6 business days                                   $1,816.08
- FedEx International Priority
4 business days                                   $2,140.56

So the total sum is $5108 or $5432,56
screenshot here:

I just can't beleive it. The VAT in my country is 20%.
20% of $3292 = $658
Customs tax is %0 or something about %1-3

Even if the VAT and the customs tax are included in the shipping, $2000 for products that cost $3000 is complete robbery.
I just can't accept this. There is no fu@@ing way!!!

This is my second HUGE disappointment when trying to buy AvalonMiner. The first one was from Canaan itself for the 45 days of waiting for nothing..
It seems I will finally change my mind and buy some Bitmain products.

EDIT:
Updated my shopping cart removing the miners. Only for the controller, that cost $100, the shipping is $646,27 or $687,10

Recently bought four PSUs from China, each one for about $120 and the shipping with DHL was about $20 each.

I can only say WTF!!!!!!!

Similarly. I opened the store. I have to make a presentation of a good seller. I asked Avalon 10 pieces from October to November. Avalon said no. only 60 pieces. They will lose the market, 100%. It all started very beautifully) You personally made Avalon a good advertisement. They must send you 1 avalon as a gift)

Send them to UK first. Then use another company for shipment to Bulgaria. UKtoBG is a nice company. they charge 1.80lv per kilo for shipment . Shipment to UK was 187$ with Shipping (Priority Mail International) option. The other option was Fedex 450ish dollars. Of course there will be TAX 20% on top. And actually that shipment is also with Fedex may be a bit slower.

Happy mining. BTC
