Not really sure where else to post this, but I'm going to be moving, and need to change the shipping address of my order. It allowed me to do that on the website, but will address be used for when the order is shipped? This was a batch 3 Avalon. Do they honour address changes?

Basically, no (to avoid queue place re-selling hassle). But Yifu wrote that in some cases there may be exceptions. Try to contact him with your arguments.

It's May 5th already here in Korea. Batch 3 would have been shipping on today's date under normal circumstances. I wonder if Batch 2 and 3 will be sent out at the same time or if Batch 3 owners need to wait an additional 2~4 weeks.

Waiting mining hardware sucks but I have a little personal story to tell about this and lemonades stands someone here mentioned.

Back on 2012 when I was still in BR, I paid 50% for my whole batch of ICA, the only way I get them for a better price and maybe resell for others - later I managed to sell three - still a good chunk of bitcoins given away, though. Once I got the batch confirmation I flew to BJ to pick them up, the initial idea was to bring them back home but I think the wandering I had in the hutongs changed my mind. For about a week every morning I had the amazingly dirty and juicy street food as breakfast, long enough to learn some food names and get acquainted with the owners, I also for the first time in my life played ping pong in a such good condition table. Better than the tourney ones since they are located outdoors and made to resist and Im not talking about the metal ones full of rust or the stone ones we find everywhere in BJ. Anyway, a group of elders, probably some ping pong old masters were always there and of course I had my ass beaten hard. I moved on. After this week in an old half rebuilt neighborhood I changed plans, found out about the electricity rates and about the relentless smoke cloud that hovers entire asia too, finally got a nice apartment to live. Some day when the ngzhang phone was still a thing we could rely on, I contacted him to ask about the boards and he took me to see a nice stack of icarus of early batches he had mining, the same one we saw in his thread. I realized I was close. Out there in the balcony corner a tall a stack of cardboard. Imagine the trouble of packing and shipping all that stuff. Later we had dinner and I met the fancy chinese food. The dinner was great and like all fancy stuff, too costy to have everyday and people always busy that its not easy to have a cheap talk with anyone there.

Back to hardware, my batch was not ready yet, and he said I had to wait one more week, that was not the deal, no worries, and now I tell you all why I will always prefer the lemonade stand everytime I want lemonade. For that extra week of testing and mining Zhang gave me some yuans, not the mined bitcoins, but still a good sign of the guys fairness.

Why I did not order batch1? That seemed to me a huge bet I could not afford. No regrets and I jumped only at batch2 expecting only the reciprocity that everyone that trusted and sent them BTC again deserves.

中国就是有你这样的人才丢脸， 投资本来就是有危险，象你这样的人收到 第1批，订购第2，3批  还 举报他们非法集资， 如果我是卖家，下次才不卖给你这样的人。有了第1批 还能骗谁？ 还什么支持者。

this chinese just too greedy, what he says is he got avalon 1st batch and invested all his money on 2nd and 3rd batch, he is disappointed about the delivery time (2,3 batch) he says if BFL starts deliver in big quantity , he will report avalon for illegal busyness methods or china laws.

I still don't think that avalon batch 2/3 will have a negative roi, and i'm most worried about the production capacity of avalon itself, not of bfl.

I was referring to the last bit of the quote, which according to google translate is:

While this may be some kind of taoist prayer, and is in some ways quite beautiful, I feel that I do not completely understand its import. Perhaps that's to be expected, but if not I was implying that I would like some clarification of this passage. I did not mean to imply that I wanted such clarification from Chuck Norris.

Informal, unofficial update on hashing

I asked friedcat to clarify a few things.
(1) Deployment rate will vary from 3 TH/s - 10 TH/s per week for the next few weeks.
(2) 20% at most of the second batch will be sold, so we will most likely see around 50 TH/s deployed.
(3) Full deployment by June is the plan.
(4) No power or network bottlenecks are expected.
(5) People can stop complaining about centralization because we will be solo-mining within the month.

they have plenty of capacity. They are in china. They just don't have the motivation to do it since they have the machines and your money/btc already.

They have 2 batches of avalons plus all the chip orders.

they can do whatever they want.
