Bitcoin  about 20 years from now will look cool. The whole fact that btc is actually gaining popularity from ordinary people in this nice world and it also makes it easy for all income classes to gather for the next adventure. Once Bitcoin has enough value enhancements that allow anyone to hold it to buy everything they want, then there should be a goal for Bitcoin to last longer

Some people claimed bitcoin would be dead 20 years from now on, but I disagree with this. Its technology is just amazing and it never dies.

This graph shows the bitcoin currency in USD from the year 2010- present.  As we can see, the bitcoin currency is increasing every year.   
9 years ago 1btc is equivalent to $1 but today bitcoin currency is about $8,000. Last December 2017, the bitcoin reaches the highest amount at the moment with $17,000. In my opinion 20 years from now, the bitcoin will increase more maybe a million dollars or so much more. As we notice, bitcoin increases rapidly.  And today some countries are now allowing this currency. If a lot of the country in this world will legalize and allow bitcoin. It is possible that bitcoin will increase the currency.

For me, nothing can replace the suprrmacy of bitcoin. While learning about other crypto, they will also discover what bitcoin is. Since bitcoin is pioneer, people will also consider its popularity and even higher price. So no, no one can replace bitcoin. It will gain more and more but not dying.

I am pretty sure bitcoin has no way to last another 20 years, unless it evolves constantly from a technical point of view. But if not bitcoin, we'll surely have some other cryptocurrency by then, not clear though how much decentralised.

This thread was created back on 2016. Now we are in 2018 so there are 18 years left to look forward on what will happen to bitcoin in 20 years. I would like to base my answer according to what happening now. After few years from now there will be a massive numbers of altcoins in the market place. Thousands of altcoins will flood in crypto world. Still bitcoin is the leader from all.

I think most people will disagree with your opinion because bitcoin is a new trend for the investment world, most people in the world is still not completely clear about Bitcoin, only a small part is understanding and working with Bitcoin. That tells us that bitcoin still has more stages to develop in the future, many large investors are still waiting for it come, it will need a long time to exploit all sources of capital, so 20 years is probably not enough, bitcoin will continue to exist and grow in that time

Yes will more strongest currency in future but i think next 100 years will bitcoin never end rather it will more high valuable currency than other digital currency and gold, so you can invest your money without any fear because it will give a big profit.

Based on the actions and performance in this year, there is a great possibility that they become more successful in future.  If the company of bitcoin maintains who they are and become consistent on what are they doing there is no such impossible thing that they cannot achieve in future.
