Earlier I used to feel that it would cross all its limits like 1 bitcoin would easily cross 10,000 USD but now i feel even 40 years is less for that to happen. Even bitcoin was rejected by ETF. But no doubt it is still the world's best crypto currency and there might rarely be any other currency ( crypto currency) that would overtake bitcoin.

Its not easy to achieve the price to hit $10k in short time and even if demand goes higher in future we need to wait longer to see that price but the fact is bitcoin is the best as a digital currency and it will continue to grow in future too.

I think the one that most of the users of bitcoin want after 20 years is just an acceptance of the whole world of bitcoin because if that happen then all of the small wants will follow like high price, stable market, can be used anywhere we want and so much more. If we just continue this kind of progress then there is no doubt that after 20 years bitcoin will be successful.

It will be over pricing in the future making a lot of price rise and more bitcoin users will be picking bitcoin as their asset, putting their money into it. $10000 is not enough on 20 years, maybe $6000 to $7000 only. And speaking of ETF, I think bitcoin can get another try in the near future and I know it will be accepted and it's price will really sky rocket.

While I like your conservative prediction at the current rate of growth I will not be surprised if bitcoin was worth something in the range of 10k to 15k in the next 20 years and that is assuming that nothing drastic happens in the world economy which is not likely.

Yes true, credit card can be replaced but gold not may be replaced, but I'm pessimistic bitcoin can survive up to 20 years again, currently many issues unresolved most notably is anonymous so as to make the State bans.

It has already been predicted that Bitcoin would be the world's sixth largest reseve currency by 2030.After twenty years,most countries would have regulated bitcoin as we see today i china,japan and russia.We could be easily buying any products in markets using bitcoins.

I don't see a chance that bitcoin will replace the market of gold or even gold itself. But with credit cards, a chance of replacing it as bitcoin debit/credit card is there. And I guess a lot of people are already into this crypto currency by that time and the government instead of banning it, they will allow it and even support it because they can't stop it.

If bitcoin manages to survive that long then we cannot imagine how high its price can be but there is no guarantee that it will survive that long and it will face many competition in the journey till it manages to travel that long and can be replaced by some other currency.

Yeaaa even now bitcoin face a tough competition about how the transaction takes too long time.
A lot of altcoin ready to replace bitcoin place as the fastest payment processor.
The future of bitcoin optimistically should be bright , but really noone will know just speculation.

I don't think that in 20 years our world will be Digital as this is what the government is avoiding to happen. Having a digital world will make solving crimes harder and practically doing crimes easier. Also a digital world in 20 years seems to be impossible look at all the development we have it is still finding its footing and I don't think having a digital currency that is not controlled by any government would make it any better. Also the whole world simply being digital is impossible as we still need Fiat Currency even 20 years from now, just like what Gold does it existed for hundreds of years in human transactions yet it is still being hold by banks until now, fiat currency is simply what any country's government is being used for their countr's economy.

I seriously doubt that Bitcoin will come anywhere near a million dollars, I think that the max it will go is 100k, and even that is extremely unlikely. In 20 years time, there will probably be a lot more cryptocurrencies and they might overtake Bitcoin. Although, this may seem like a bad thing to some, I think that it would be really great as it would mean that technology is continuing to improve.

We already have digital world a long time ago. There's not much sense saying that a lot of things will change and the government is avoiding the digital practice.

Solving crimes have always been hard. All those Sherlock Holmes kind of detective don't really exist in the real world and even if they do, they probably are only solving larger crimes. Smaller crimes like getting your pursed stolen and so on is not given that much attention by the police. The same thing will happen in the digital world. Those that get cyberbullied usually just gets ignored by the police. The people that get scammed on the Internet are also ignored most of the time. It's your fault for being gullible.

The digital world doesn't change much of the reality that we have. Crimes will always happen. Criminals will always get away with the things that they did. The whole world will always live in chaos with or without the digital world.

It's hard to comment on the future. It's a bit difficult to make estimates, especially for technology-related issues. Because there's always something new going on. We are consuming technological innovations very quickly.

But in my opinion, bitcoin will start to be used more. At the same time bitconin will increase in value.

yes it is not such an easy job to predict about the future of bitcoin. i think the future of bitcoin is too much bright therefore we can expect that in future even in 20 years the future of bitcoin will remain bright and hope that the price of bitcoin will be trading high and high.

There is no doubt about the price, the only thing for sure is that the price of the bitcoin is going to be much higher 20 years from now unless the world bans it from use than it will be worthless.

The only thing that I hope for in the future is that the developers work on taking bitcoin to the next level by making transaction less slow and implementing it in all the shops of the world so it gets more and more popular.

As far as I know, the developer team is working to make processing times quicker.
However, each process can be approved for an average of 10 minutes, depending on the bitcoin design. In other words, transactions can not be approved in less than 10 minutes.

But this is not a problem. I think it's a good 10 minutes to confirm the transaction.
In the future, the paper money will completely get out of hand. Digital money like Bitcoin will be used more.

I don't it will happen by that time because even right now we can consider that all of us are treating and using bitcoin as a universal currency but only for us who are using it. I guess it will only take from 10-15 years before it can be considered as universal currency or even with small time frame. For sure after 20 years, bitcoin will be used by almost half of the world's population.
