Actually its hard to predict whats in the future ahead of bitcoin. Its more likely depends on the people how it will used, the demands of bitcoin. but Bitcoin keep growing as we can see the value keep growing means more investor interest on bitcoin and I think it will be accepted in any stores.

along the line, other crypto currencies will come on-board, but as technology grows the light will continue to shine on bitcoin, i still see huge potential in bitcoin come 20 years and more.

I think this was a some realistic question as of now than the question " what is the future of bitcoin 100 years from now." I think bitcoin will be stable 20 years from now. And hopefully to be a more valuable and still the top cryptocurrency.

I've met several guys who bought bitcoin in 2014 and now just live of it by taking a little out each month for expenses. They are basically retired.
In 20 years, whoever bought bitcoin now will probably be able to do the same.

It's hard to predict 20 years later. Bitcoin may lose your supremacy. Some crypto projects are very ambitious. The transfer rate issue makes Bitcoin investors think. In the future we will see that the crypto currencies have risen.

20 years is a long time, and everything can happen, maybe bitcoin will not die, but maybe other virtual currencies will replace Bitcoin's position .... I think Eth can do this...haha

I look forward to the positive things that will happen, I know there is a risk that it might not succeed but I still think it can survive and will continue to appreciate its value. By that time when the progress continues we can definitely see a massive increase of adoption, and that is the reason why the price will rise.

I'm very sure, every year bitcoin prices will increase. We definitely know the price of bitcoin from 5 years back, the price is very low at all far different from the current price. I can not mention the value of bitcoin price 20 years to come, certainly bitcoin price every year has increased.

Well if that will happen then for sure bitcoin is the most attractive investment in the world. Based on the trend after it broke the long time ATH the price continue to rise and although we are down this year compared to last year's ATH, there still a chance to rally and surpass it this year.

20 years from now there is a decent chance it will still exist, the question is more whether or not it will grow a considerable amount, community wise in the case, or if it is going to simply stagnate somewhere close to where we are currently. The value grows a lot with the community, and shrinks in the same way.

I agree with you because not just bitcoin is in the crypto coin market ... eth could just go beyond bitcoin as time goes by let alone for the next 20 years ... no one knows what will happen

I'm speculating that there will be another advance than blockchain technology and will replace bitcoin as well. We already have seen that there's blockchain 2.0, 3.0 so there's a possibility that a suitable coin from that advanced blockchain will be the new btc.

We are now experiencing the efficient, fast and amazing convergence of technologies which one way or the other greatly contributing to the rise of the cryptocurrencies and making Bitcoin as the King of the Hill so far.
Looking into the future...what do you think will be the scenario involving Bitcoin twenty years from now? Will Bitcoin be worth more than a million or will it ceased to exist? Or will a new crytocurrency replace the supremacy of Bitcoin...?
It is possible, why not. If new form of digital payment is not invented, bitcoin and other cryptos will be more popular then now.

2O years is a long shot we cannot even accurately predict what will happen to bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency industry in the next 5 years, everything is unclear as long as Bitcoin remains a volatile portfolio, where a small negative news and feedback can bring the price crashing

I guess It's better to quote the creator of BTC in this case from : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48.msg329#msg329Right. Otherwise we couldn't have a finite limit of 21 million coins, because there would always need to be some minimum reward for generating. In a few decades when the reward gets too small, the transaction fee will become the main compensation for nodes. I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.
I don't think that one million dollar is achievable or likely to happen personally but It could be with people losing their coins and halving block reward each four years. It's very achievable, but, I agree with you, will it's unlikely to happen. If only 10-15% percent of the worlds population would use Bitcoin on a daily basis, Bitcoin could easily reach the $1.000.000 mark. Imagine if the world would be 100% on crypto, like it's now with fiat.

I don't know bitcoin will survive for more 20years or not.But if bitcoin remain it's place then we will see more progress of this crypto currency. Also many government will accept bitcoin respectfully and Shops, markets will take bitcoin as payment.Bitcoin price will be high, maybe 25000$ or more.I will wait for this...

I believe bitcoin will be use as currency 20 years from now. Merchants and stores all over the world will use bitcoin as a mode of payment because of its fast transaction process and it is even safer than physical money. Maybe the price will rise and pump up to million because it reached $19000 last december 2017 so it's not impossible that bitcoin will rise again on that price. For it's existence, I think there's a low chance for bitcoin to be ceased due to it's peer to peer transaction and decentralized network.
