Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.
Bitcoin is created to be currency. About buying drugs or any negatif things is depend on the users. But I think some people prefer bitcoin over fiat becouse of the price of fiat. If the price of fiat fall its become not worth so I think people choose bitcoin to safe their wealth. |

yes that can be more accessible and more easier to use as compare to fiat currency, specially for online purpose bitcoin is more better than fiat, as you do not need to convert your money in to other currency in which you pare playing gambling. |

Bitcoin has more advantage than fiat money online. It has a special characteristics that made user got attracted and interested. I am using them both daily, it just that BTC is very unique, we can earn it in faucets and other services.
The most attractive thing about bitcoin is the price difference between dollar and a bitcoin and the high volatile nature of the coins makes everyone interested in the whole process and with the increased government intervention with economic sanctions around the world people are looking for new ways to stock their money and so is the reason people prefer bitcoin. |

I don't use bitcoin in these places and I will never do in the future and this is addicted. But in general we don't use bitcoin in every transaction that we made, there are many sellers/buyers who don't use bitcoin and we should use fiat or any other method. |

Of course this calculation is not interesting, if we save bitcoin, then in a year could benefit hundreds of percent, 2016 price increases already 350%, that's the reason people choose bitcoin than fiat money. |

People of some country restricted the use of their money by limiting the amount of money that can be taken from the bank by the government. Probably that is one of the reason people prefer bitcoin over fiat. Beside a lot of advantage of bitcoin. In addition to the many benefits of bitcoin.

But I don't see any reason for bitcoin loses its price now, bitcoin is always rising its price, I don't think it will happen now or soon, only in the future, when another crypto currency becomes the major coin. And many persons are here even because they can't have profit enough on their life (with bank system), they have nothing to lose or to fear here with bitcoins and its friends, the altcoins. |

Fiat is centralize and bitcoin is decentralize. People choose decentralize thats why bitcoin is on the top right now. Besides, bitcoin is can make you more profit because its price is increasing rapidly. While fiat is not profitable and losing its value. Theres no sense holding fiat if the value is failing.

First, it is an open secrete that the value of Bitcoin will contine to increase against Fiat considering the halving, so what would a good investor do, he will hedge his investment.

Fiat lossing value? How come? Fiat would not lose its value since its being used by a particular country or nation it may move its price up and down but it doesnt lose its value no matter what.Bitcoin could be freely used in anything its either on illegal or legal since we do have the full control of our money in bitcoin thats why we cant do anything about it. |

yeah , Actually you are saying that people are using Bitcoin In every field ( specially in gambling & porn industries ) which is bad . But I think blockchain or any head of Bitcoin will retard you to use Bitcoin in particular place then the beauty of Bitcoin will effects lot . You can only see it from here but not in the whole world dude, there are few bitcoin users around so don't talk like you know everything's doing, maybe there are some but not the majority and yes bitcoin can be used in gambling, it's really a big help to gamblers but with this porn thing I don't really think if there are many bitcoin users dealing with this and also with this drug transactions. |

Personal reasons because fiat money is more easy be used for shopping or payment something in real, because there are no people whom use bitcoin for payment method daily, at least for today on local area.
Bitcoin is just for make double my fiat money with trading altcoins, and it is just for place investment.

Using this fiats in those fields, does it mean misusing your government's currencies ? Porn and even drugs are not too bad as long as you are having control over them. I never agree that these misses are just because of bitcoin payments. These misuess are already within our society and it had spoiled the future of those who are not having control. If you to make a differences then you must spread awareness against those misuses not against the preference of using bitcoin payment system. |

I wouldn't say Bitcoin gets misused when some people decide to buy drugs with it or pay for porn with using Bitcoin. They can do the same things with credit cards, dollars, euros, paypal etc. So people use Bitcoin as a currency. But most of the people here decide to buy some Bitcoin because they realized what kind of big fraud our actual financial system is. With QE and fractional reserve banking the value of the money, the purchasing power is decreasing over time.Governments and banks take advantages of that while the average joe has to suffer. It's a system where ony a very small minority of people, the elites, are profiting from.The rest of us ends as working slaves! Bitcoin is a way to exit that system.At least in parts!And this is why we are here. |
