Anyone is thinking that bitcoin is widely used in many criminal activities because they are thinking that bitcoin can protect someone's identity making it an "anonymous " money. But the truth is, it is not.

yes in some places like Brazil people have the opportunity to use bitcoin as fiat, and therefore people there giving more preference to bitcoin instead of cash. i think it is more easy and convenient to use bitcoin instead of cash where we have to carry cash with us. while using bitcoin we just need to have smart phone and internet connection and then we can use any amount of bitcoin.

They are enjoying the convenient bitcoin has given into their lives and it's not a sole tool for payment but they can also invest on it.

You are right, you can't control people who own bitcoin and make rules, like.
You can't use bitcoin for illegal things.. etc. because bitcoin is made to disable any rules and make people who own some bitcoins free to use their bitcoin in anything they want, good or bad.

Well based on what you've said, the reason why they choose Bitcoin over Fiat is because of POWER. Having FREEDOM in using bitcoin is quite very powerful you see, I mean you can do almost anything by using it and no one will even know you did it. Anyways in Bitcoin 'everything is permitted'.

Bitcoin is a decentralized currency.Every one could use it for whatever they wish.No one could control it.In earlier times,bitcoin was mostly used for illegal activities since it is pseudo anonymous.But after some altcoins like monero,zcash came with bfull anonymity,dark markets left using bitcoins.More over,bitcoin has user base all over the world and today it is used for all purposes especially as an investment and not for illegal activities.

I believe one of the reason why some people prefer bitcoin over fiat is the feature of store of value of Bitcoin.  Having Bitcoin instead of cash enable us to have or gain more value though the downside is the opposite but since the market is not yet saturated and the incoming update seems bullish, there is more chance for Bitcoin holder to earn or gain value overtime.
