Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ?

Increase value in fiat and bitcoin is different because of their usage globally. Fiat have a stable price because the usage is balanced and well performed unlike bitcoin which is more presently active in trading and investment and not as how usual currency works is.

I am sure that people not involved in Bitcoin find fiat payment services far more interesting and safe to complete payments than is the case with Bitcoin.

Bitcoin can't offer that level of security to people that are used to these security features. That's why they will prefer to keep using fiat instead of something else.

I prefer Bitcoin, gold and silver. They're probably the safest ones to go for, especially gold and silver because they exist physically and an energy or internet blackout won't make them vanish. I'd go for one of the three as soon as I get money, I mean I prefer having something that cannot suddenly turn out into a piece of paper overnight if a crisis happens.

I personally prefer bitcoins over fiat no matter whether they are used by any wrong identities, because when I know I am loyal on my part, I should not fear.
What should we be afraid of while using bitcoins when we have proof of what we used them for?

It's because bitcoin is genuinely better than fiat. There is no doubt about it. Fiat is centralised and you are essentially placing your entire wealth into the government's hands. You are allowing them to do whatever they want to, whenever they want to. Drop money from a helicopter, even. Inflation in bitcoin is controlled and therefore quite harmless, but with the endless inflation and deflation cycles, fiat is unstable AF and shouldn't be trusted.

Yea, Bitcoin offers a lot of advantages that fiat cannot have. In bitcoin you can do offers or services that pays you in bitcoin and you can easily convert it into fiat while in fiat it will be hard for you to start earning online because most of the sites requires paypal and you need to be verified to cash out big amounts.

Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.

Fiat is used for the very same thing, bitcoin is not going to change human nature, people want those products and services and they are going to use anything in order to obtain it. That is not a misuse of bitcoin or any other currency because currency was created to make easier any kind of trade.

Yes, I also feel the benefits from bitcoin just like you, I can have a decent income in bitcoin. In addition I can also get a profit from fluctuations in bitcoin. Because bitcoin is always fluctuating, I can earn a profit by just holding bitcoin until prices rise. I like it because it can be used for investment. Besides I also get full control over bitcoin I keep in my wallet, it gives me the freedom to use my bitcoin. Actually, some people do not prefer bitcoin than fiat, but some people choose bitcoin as an alternative to fiat.

For me to this day the best use of Bitcoin, in the sens that no solution in the whole world can compete with it or be at the same level, is gambling. Imagine you're burried in debt, you have money problems, you're bank is closely watching your accounts... The only solution to be able to gamble safely is to use Bitcoin. Moreover you'll keep all the profits, unlike when you bet with cash. That's just an exemple but there's probably many more.

If you purely look at the currency aspect of fiat and Bitcoin, then it's safe to say that fiat is pretty much unbeatable. Especially when you consider that you can transact offline, where with Bitcoin you always need an internet connection to move value from one place to another. Bitcoin's growth nowadays (for me it has been like this since day one) must come from the store of value and investment aspect. That's where Bitcoin is really shining. And it shows as more traditional investors are finding their way to Bitcoin.
