Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.
Haven't you heard that fiats can also be used like bitcoin? After all, they are both currencies. The thing is, we need to put order by the government releasing regulations and not by banning it since Bitcoin had and continually giving opportunities especially to those who are unemployed and even to students. We should not kill this blooming industry but rather put it to good use. |

Let me highlight the thing mentioned above, it's still hard for the government to put any regulations this time because it hasn't given authority yet in the society and therefore people are still waiting for the approval for that. Let's not wait for the chances to be wasted so government must do an action of this soon. |

Yes, bitcoin is used for lots of bad things, including porn, drugs etc. But have they forgotten that money is used for almost 100% of everything ? Bitcoin does less harm even. That’s why I don’t want bitcoin to be accepted for everything, because people will start blaming everything bad thing that happens on it. |

Yes,, we do care about our identity for so many reasons and one of those is personal security of your own and your family.. People use bitcoin for such bad stuffs because they wanted to hide their identity in the hope no one will notice their bad habbits or at least require some efforts if someone else want to track it. Bitcoin offers anonymity for its users even though it isn't 100% true. |

There is no reason for any of us to panic about this issue, not only bitcoin other forms of currency are also being used for drug dealing and gambling. However as bitcoin transaction are completely anonymous so it has been currency of choice for porn and gambling industry. But you can also see lots of big merchants accepting bitcoin payments so bitcoin is being used for both legal and illegal stuffs. This is not new to our society, btc or even fiat are abuse and misuse by these people and we can't do anything about this. It is their choice and it's so sick and tired of these. Just mind our own business and be rich. |

It is because of the volatility of Bitcoin, tax free and decentralized. Bitcoin is more valuable than fiat that's why they see potential in using into it. But governments make a move on regulating local exchanges for like anti money laundering and also needs KYC when signing up they can hold suspicious transactions in an accounts too. And I am disgusted to those who are using Bitcoin in any illegal activities because they are the reason why governments implements strict regulations to users. These people also created negative reputation in Bitcoin. I hope the government can resolve that matter since innocent ones are affected too. |

People prefer bitcoin over fiat because it’s change in value. Bitcoin can also be used to buy goods and services easier that the other transaction.
Having the unstable price of bitcoin makes the people prefer bitcoin over fiat. But they are not actually completely in bitcoin already because there are still countries, stores that aren't accepting bitcoin in full payment. Currency is just another reason for bitcoin but the real reason why people prefer bitcoin because it is an investment. While it is undeniable that bitcoin is one of the bests investments right now I think at some point after enough people around the world adopt bitcoin, that the attractiveness of bitcoin as an investment is going to go down and people are going to begin to use it for it is original purpose, as a currency, that is going take a long time since we only have a few million adopters while the world has 7 billion people. |

Not all bitcoins or either altcoins are misuse there is in a good thing also. If fiat was used for better and good it was also use for bad and worse things then the same for bitcoin because bitcoin is a currency and currency means in the most specific use of the word refers to money in any form when in actual use or circulation as a medium of exchange.So either bad and for good bitcoin can be spend out except if the country will declaire a law not to be use in such samples of yours. |

Not all bitcoins or either altcoins are misuse there is in a good thing also. Almost the possible answer are mentioned above but I must prefer to say this answer that some people are attract to bitcoin over the fiat because it was easy to use the price are so unstoppable (unpredictable) and also it was a tax free that cannot control by government. And now a day bitcoin are continue to spread all over the world so people must prefer to invest or use bitcoin.

Bitcoin is very safe to use and also very fast its like a credit card. Nowadays bitcoin value continue to appreciate that's why if you are holding your coins few months ago maybe you are enjoying the harvest of it.

They prefer bitcoin because it can easily access through cellphones. Fiat money need harwork to gain more profit but in bitcoin you can gain easily anywhere you are. |

I think one reason for people preferibg bitcoin over fiat is that in some transactions, bitcoin is tax free and we always love tax free transactions. But I have read in this forum that many people prefer bitcoin over fiat is because they use it for porn sites, gambling and drug buying, and I think people should not use good oppurtunities for bad purposes. That is one reason for a good oppurtunity or a good thing to be banned. Lots of people use it for bad . That is one thing that people should try to prevent on doing.
