What can we do, people who use bitcoin has their own freedom to use it in anyway they want to, everything can be used not just for their purpose just like Bitcoin it can be used for good or bad as long as it is your own, I prefer bitcoin over fiat for it is anonymous, but i still wouldn't use bitcoin for that reason.
Fiat is for everyday need purposes,like buying everyday need stuffs,foods etcBut in terms of saving or sending money I prefer bitcoin that saving or doing bank transactions. Theres more chances to save in btc than in banks. |

I have read that several underground transactions involve bitcoin. So perhaps some preferred bitcoin over fiat because of its anonymity. Highly concealed transactions involving drugs, arms, assassination, and the like use bitcoin as a form of payment. Especially in the deep web, a large amount of bitcoin is changing hands. And as far as I know, 96% of what's going on in the web are in the deep web. What we can access through the famous browsers are only the surface.
Satoshi Nakamoto, a genius, of course, did not create bitcoin solely for this. Just like anything else that is neither bad nor good, it is how people use it that taints its reputation. Our current fiat currencies were invented for commercial purposes but some crooked-minded people use them for some bad activities. As such, you cannot blame bitcoin or any fiat currencies.
Sometimes I wonder how would I inform everyone in this forum that bitcoin is nothing compared to how much fiat money is being used in illegal transactions. Okay, bitcoin gives you anonymity privileges. But that doesn't surpass the amount of money that have transacted for illegal activities in fiat. Just like bitcoin, a gun wasn't made for the sole purpose of killing innocent people. Yet here we are. We have terrorist attacks almost everyday. Electricity was discovered and the discoverer thought it will be very useful for machines and whatnot. Yet we have an electric chair which kills people. A lot of things are being used for things that are different than the creator's objectives. |

Agree, although with the current issue of high transaction fees, it is so frustrating now to send bitcoin to someone else. But if you compare it from banks which takes days to transfer. That is why I still used bitcoin to send money to my relatives and even friends. I still fully trusted bitcoin and I hope the problem can be resolved. |

The problem will be resolved, because this happens quite often when a large number of bitcoin transactions take place in the same time period with similar transaction fee. But what's been stated second is not the real fact, because banks have been providing with immediate transfers. In few cases it might have taken more time as days. |

Nope it is not intended for what you have said, but it cannot be avoided as its features like privacy and security is suited for those kinds. It is inevitable as it is built for online usage as well as the anonymity it is proven beneficial for people who don't want to be known, especially in drug related concerns. Bitcoin as an internet currency is not preferred more over fiat but it is certainly more prominent online because that is where it is designed for an internet currency.

Some people say that is.much easier to get or earn Bitcoins than fiat money and that is why they prefere it. For some it's.more convenient to use because is much more anonimous than fiat money and you can avoid the banks. Some say volatility is disadvantage of Bitcoin and some love it exactly because of that and they see their chance for profit.
Earning bitcoin is not easy, since bitcoin has value it is obvious no one is going to give away bitcoin for free, faucets don’t count because they are not giving bitcoin for free, they are trying to profit from you by the use of ads and things like that, also we must be aware that the amount of time spent doing captchas and claiming from faucets could have been used for better purposes. |

Agree, in Banks the waiting game is real and it will take you forever to receive the money you're expecting. Plus the fact that if you put your money in the bank and it will only get a very low percent of profit compared in saving bitcoin. |

Bitcoin is a decentralized currency created by satoshi.Just like USD,bitcoin could be used for any purpose and it could not be controlled.Just like some use internet for gaining knowledge while some others use it for surfing porn sites,same is the case with bitcoins.But bitcoin has been now widely accepted all over the world and it is used as a commodity and some use it for buying products online while it is legally accepted in japan.I think bitcoin is now no more a currency which is mostly used for buying only illegal products.

Fiat and bitcoin is completely different from each other because fiat is money that has been use to buy things or services while bitcoin is more like an investment or an asset but it can be used as a currency but as of now it is not that easy to use it as a currency because of the low percentage of adoption but bitcoin is still capable of that but as of now, we still prefer fiat over bitcoin. |

Actually every people needs fiat in real life. In the other hand, we can't use bitcoin in real life especially in my country here. We only can use bitcoin on online transaction. For me, i need both bitcoin and fiat. I use fiat for real life stuff and i use bitcoin for online things. |

Yes it is true, you can invest a small amount of bitcoin compared to fiat. Plus the fact that having bitcoin or earning it is much convenient and easy compare to fiat. But if you wamt convenience, choose fiat to buy things which you needed in your daily life as bitcoin is not yet recognized in some places. I think it is safe to say that Bitcoin as of now is really a good investment compared to what you will earn in the Forex. Because Forex really need a lot of skill and info about everything, while Bitcoin investment is always about buying near the bottom and selling near the high. With Fiat currency I don't think that their is a bottom or a high because they are so stable. |

in fact bitcoin is the need of the day. and we have to accept the fact that in near future people are going to change their payment, method as some people have already changed it, therefore people are not giving preference to bitcoin instead of fiat currency. |

in fact bitcoin is the need of the day. and we have to accept the fact that in near future people are going to change their payment, method as some people have already changed it, therefore people are not giving preference to bitcoin instead of fiat currency. The future is digital and bitcoin could be the leader to that, however we will not gonna enjoy our bitcoin without using fiat. We need to use both, some people might not be able to adopt but that is alright, we are not potential for a bigger market like fiat, we are just a payment system, it's alright to see the success. |

Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.
For me bitcoin is important, not for using in gambling or watching porn but as a currency that used for business. Bitcoin can never replace the fiat, but the importance of using bitcoin is very helpful. Bitcoin is not hassle to used in payment transcation. Bitcoin price gives a trill, the price is too high compare to dollar or other currency. Bitcoin can earn online and the supply is depend on investor, investor came from different countries, so it can earn by all people around the world. |
