In my opinion, bitcoin will be always the one which is on the top in crypto because bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency and it is very popular not just in crypto world so it could have a many investors more than these past couple years. Bitcoin have a very good and expensive price so it must attract investors to go for it and invest, bitcoin is much very secured and trusted than any other crypto especially when in investing so we should not compare bitcoin to any crypto because it was the king of it for it greatness.

Ripple does several things; one of the upsides is decentralized exchange.  Completely private debt-based exchange to anyone who has Ripple (for example, you can issue "Taz-Debts" to a friend you owe, and when you give them something in exchange for the Taz-Debts, they go away and all is equal again.  I suppose one side of the story would be this: say you want to send Jill 100 BTC, but it's taking an ass-load of time for the six confirmations.  Instead, you could give Jill an IOU worth 100 BTC, and if she trusts you, she'll take that instead.  Then, when she needs the 100 BTC, she can cash in your IOU.

Much faster and cheaper than a transfer of real coins through the blockchain but it's Banking. Distributed banking but banking nonetheless.so in my own view or rather  I say as for me. I will go for ripple because I don't have enough money to invest in btc.

I also trust Bitcoin compared to other cryptocurrencies; Bitcoin is the most popular coin since it it the first digital cryptocurrency that has been introduced to all of us; the price is more valuable than ripple so if I'm gonna choose, i will prefer to have Bitcoin.

I think it's difficult if Ripple wants to replace BTC. and very little chance of that happening. bitcoin is more of an attraction in the market, and is more of a center of attention for many people. but Ripple is still a part of that. I think it still takes a long time if you want to replace BTC. that's my opinion.
thanks.

Ripple excels in every technological aspect compared to BTC and is being adopted by many FIs and banks with more clients on the way. Some key points:

Speed: BTC settlements take up to 60 minutes or longer vs Ripple with the use of XRP takes less than 5 seconds.

Transaction fees: An average BTC fee stands at $19 per transaction vs XRP fees are practically non existent at ten-thousandth of a cent.

The Ripple blockchain beats BTC and ETH in terms of scalability. BTC only processes 16 individual transactions per second whereas ETH lags at 15 per second. XRP processes 1500 transactions per second. Do the math.

The reasoning is that in the information age , when photo videos and other data can be sent anywhere in the world almost instantly, there's no reason a transerfer of value should be so expensive or inefficient .
Ripple is the name of the company, and  XRP is the name of it's coin. Ripple was specifically created to facilitate a now-outdated sysytem of international transaction.
You should buy ripple cos the details of it is very clear and intelligence company is trick and strong

I don't think there's a coin that can replace bitcoin as of now bitcoin is so popular and as of now there's no competition to it but who knows in future what might happen

The whole cryptocurrency idea - about bitcoin and Ripple-is useful as a payment processing solution ultimately forget about anonymity

But when it comes to investing, bitcoin is more good than ripple, you invest in bitcoin and will sure give you a guaranteed huge amount of profit, better in long term investment. Even the market price is low, there is no need to worry about.

I still go for bitcoin. Both cryptos are actually good. They are both potential coins but for me bitcoin still way more ahead of ripple in terms of value, price, marketcap, and popularity. Besides both of them have different uses and functions so we cannot actually compare them head to head. Give it time maybe ripple can beat bitcoin in the future.

Ripple and Bitcoin are hard to compare.  Ripple is centralized and Bitcoin is not.  Bitcoin is the peoples crypto and Ripple is the bankers crypto.  All in all Bitcoin is just a better investment opportunity and project in general.

I suggest bitcoin to be used for short-term investments but if you want a long-term investment then ripple is a more appropriate choice. Both of them are potential coins, only in technology, so I prefer ripple rather than bitcoin. Bitcoin only excels in popularity and public trust while ripple has the advantage of transaction speed so that for the long term the ripple is more suitable. Other than that in terms of stability, ripple is more stable than bitcoin when hard forks occur. Therefore, we do not need to worry about interference when making transactions with ripple. That is a bit of my idea.

for us, we prefer to hold bitcoin rather than ripple, because the growth of bitcoin every day also increases, so we will also find it easier to get many benefits.

I for one would choose Bitcoin.  RIPPLE has a horrible reputation among a large sector of the crypto crowd.  RIPPLE has that seedy banker feel to it.  I got into crypto to get away from that not to jump right back into it.

bitcoin is growing rapidly even though prices rise and fall quickly and Bitcoin is guaranteed good. Bitcoin prices are currently up slightly from yesterday's slump. in the future I think bitcoin will rise again even though the process is not easy. until now no one can match it, so many people are interested in Bitcoin

Could Ripple XRP replace bitcoin before it is widely accepted?
If ripple allows users to send money instantly and almost fee free, with a pretty and easy to use UI.
Plenty of money to burn on advertising and reputation building.
Business and Financial connections likely to get them accepted on large merchant sites.
Why would the average person have any interest in Bitcoin?

More important could Ripple become controlled by business or government?

I'm not suggesting any of this is fact.
Just wanna hear the opinions of people that actually know stuff.

I don't think that XRP will bat Bitcoin, If Ripple will beat bitcoin i think 1 decade after Ripple will beat Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is the king and it's so tough to beat Bitcoin easily. In history, in power, in value bitcoin will still be the king. I will go for Bitcoin.

If invest big and safe then bitcoin is the best choice. certainly be a ripple compared to the comparison far enough between the two things. Moreover, ripple has the centralized system which certainly makes this coin is hard to experience the development of so many who doubt it for assets in investments.

They are very much different from each otherBitcoin is pure and original cryptocurrency decentralized and a true peer to peer transaction processor, Ripple is not like that a complete opposite of cryptocurrency people only invest on Ripple because of the promised profit

Bitcoin is far superior to Ripple.  It's an interesting thing to compare the two. I believe Bitcoin is better due to it being more decentralized.  It was also first which is a big plus.  I do own both but my position in Bitcoin is much much larger.  About 90% larger.

If you want a reliable investment in long term. then of course bitcoin. If you like to play on the difference in the course, then the ripples will do more. I think so
