At least I have an ignore list, but it's just 2 names... Notlambchop Matthecat. Oops, I guess I'm a little out of date. Actually, a lot of the posters on other people's ignore lists can be entertaining at times, just occasionally tedious and boring. Even our resident gold- (and silver)-bug bigot isn't as obnoxious with personal attacks as the 2 above were. Instead of putting people on my ignore list, I keep a mental do-not-feed-the-trolls list. Jeez, I remember Notlambchop. That guy had issues. Also ShroomsKit from around the same time, if not before. The trolling back then was way more entertaining and didn't seem as racist or xenophobic. Or maybe I just got less tolerant with age. |

Actually the original Shroomskit wasn't all that bad. I think a troll bought his account. Other hilarious trolls from the past included Proudhon the comedian, the ever-cynical ElectricMucus, and the dual-personality Jaroslaw with his alter-ego (though he claimed no connection) Walsoraj. Fun times. I almost forgot the pathetic Kwukduck. Still good for a laugh. I can overlook a little racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia or other political incorrectness. The idiots who spew that crap just make themselves look bad. Where I draw the line is personal attacks such as commonly used by NLC and MTC. Also NLC's constant pedophilia references and posting of geriatric porn images were a little too much. This can be a fun place but it does tend to bring out the scumbags too. |
