Let's put TA aside and think about yesterdays jump from $78  to $90 in a few seconds, then someone put a 10 000 wall on $90. I was thinking why would someone put that wall there at that moment when he can buy coins at lower price?!

Hmm... You will hate me for saying this, but probably he realized that we are going deeper under ground and he has a lot unsold coins, so he pushed the BTC up, then he will sell the coins at higher price and after that he will let the price go down.

It's possible that it's the same person who put those $104 and $120 walls, probably majority of his coins is in that range.

And what is he going to do when he sell us his coins?

Probably he will remove the walls and give us a few downward pushes, it's profitable for him sitting on fiat at that moment.

I think a lot of people moved their bids from 70/80 to 90-100

The market is overreacting. It would take days till we see any impact in the market (even if we would).

We were already going up before any news.

China skeptics, take another look at the Bitcoin client downloads:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/files/stats/map?dates=2013-05-04

China wasn't that much above US a few hours ago. Now it's about 20x US for the whole day.

That is a bit scary. It had to be that 30 minute CCTV spot.

Now, a few of those people are probably going to be buying BTC's in the near future. In a way, it could be like the Cypress event, in that sudden buying pressure may come...

Great news,

Actually yes. Creeping up since the huge volume at $80. EMAs crossed at around $96.

News appeared here at around $100-$102.

I have no idea, but would have thought that this ostensibly lame downturn might be a tactic to make sure enough people sell in anticipation of a fall, so that there's more people ready to buy his coins after he drops the price significantly?

It is clear that the Chinese government (who does in fact censor, this I can confirm with first hand experience) has given Bitcoin the go-ahead.

Not sure what to answer. On H1 the emas comparison has been bearish from april 30 (143) until today 5:00 am (95) that seems to go upwards but seriously i don't know what to think.
I feel i am unable to follow the bitcoin value, always too soon, too late, too short, too long. It seems this is not for me. I entered at 30 on feb-march but i cannot recall how many mistakes i have done up to this time.

Starting to get really tired. I think i am getting more money from just investing on normal stocks. It is taking so many hours for just mistake after mistake. This is like a rollercoaster. I am more for fundamentals medium term and this is not playing good for me.

I didn't notice that part you quoted but it stood out to me in the argument. WOW!!! This is so huge it makes Cypress seem, like well, Cypress.  Grin

I wonder why the Government would be behind it and my first reaction/feeling is that they are probably sick and tired of the USD and the bond issue that comes with it.
In a way, other governments embracing BTC (and other crypto-currencies) is a way of combating American Hegemony. Think about that...

China is sort of like another MtGox volume influence, maybe at the least. Have to ponder this one, oh my...

I am pretty leery now of selling based on just TA in light of this news. You never know what will happen...

Thanks for posting that reddit link, I will have to read the thread there.

I can't imagine anything better than the debit card system. If I can't imagine it, then not one else can either, so it most certainly cannot ever happen.
