US Congressman To Federal Reserve Chairman Jay Powell:

Cryptocurrencies Will “Foster Innovation” In The U.S.

Earlier this week, the US House Financial Services Committee and Federal Reserve Chairman Jay Powell met in Washington, DC. The hearing featured typical queries involving monetary policy, interest rates, and economic growth— with plenty of discussion concerning cryptocurrency and digital asset regulation.

I'm famous! Guess it's time to move to Hollywood and get into the drug scene. Then end up broke in the gutter until years later when they ask "where are they now?" where I clean up for the interview as everyone says how brave I am.

I have deleted my Coinbase account.

#deletecoinbase
Well done.
#deleteconnase is not a hate campaign. It’s a fight to protect what bitcoin is for.
Here’s my contribution (never used it anyway)

My phone is looking tired, I'm not looking forward to working out how to change the 2fa to a new phone. Internet instructions are vague.

A question please: I think people were discussing their music production stuff, maybe bob and some other Europe guys?, somewhere in this thread years back. I cant find it, so sorry for the OT.

What was the software you were recommending? could I use it for multi track recording? guitar, vocals etc?

Used to have a guitar studio thing and a friend gave me propeller head reason to make beats with. But that is all some years ago on old computers long since dead.

Any ideas? thanks.

PS   Bart completion incoming?

Quite difficult. Disable 2FA on all your accounts. Setup Authy on the new phone or web, encrypted with a unique secure password. Configure new 2FAs for all your accounts on Authy. Next time you need to move phones will be trivial since you used Authy.

I haven’t been online much the last few days. Been driving myself crazy after finding some kind of a lump/bump in the far corner of my left eyeball, my eye is red as fuck & sore. Any way I’ve just been to the optician’s (eye doctor) & I’m fine. I have an infection/inflamed bulbar conjunctiva which is basically nothing to worry about.
I’ve got some drops & antibiotics which will sort it out.

Sorry for the off topic but after my girlfriend & family this was the next place I thought I’d break the news to.

Advice - Don’t fucking google stuff & try to look for a diagnosis yourself. You’ll likely see some terrible stuff & fear the worst if you do that.

Any way, what are the chances of a massive bitcoin pump this weekend to make me even happier Smiley

It's usually not harmful in most cases it goes within a 1-2 of weeks by itself. It happened to me on the lower lid.

1. Use eye drops for itchiness or swelling. Chances are a doctor will suggest one.
2. No scratching, if eyes are getting watery, then you can use water splash.
3  Must Wear glasses.

Get well soon.

Chuckling to myself over the righteous indignation in the twitterverse over #deletecoinbase, by hordes of critical thinkers absolutely fine with the fact that the CEO of the largest investor in Blockchain was the Chair of the Bilderberg group.

That is not correct! They are just one of a large pool of investors.

Many groups are interested in what Blockstream are doing. Do you now why? Because it is really exciting! It is a game changer!

Don't do that! The very basic idea behind 2FA is to not allow "transfer" of same 2FA code to new device!

If you are using an IOS device then there is an app called ‘authenticator’ which allows you to make backups/copies your 2fa to allow you to restore them to new/other devices.
Not entirely sure about the security of it though but might be worth a look?

No need to pay ripoff prices.
Using simple combinatorics you can set up (for example) a three-of-five secret sharing scheme.
Divide a long random number (your entropy*) into ten concatenated segments Seg(1), Seg(2)... Seg(10).  Assign each segment to a row in this table.  Each row has three red blocks.  Give Seg(i) of the rand to each person who has a red square in row(i).
Any three persons out of the five can put their shares together and recreate the entire rand.

Note that for a two-of-five secret sharing scheme, you would need four red blocks in each row, the combinatoric "5 choose 4" which has five rows.
A four-of-five secret sharing scheme would require two red squares in each row.  5 choose 2 has ten rows.
*Since a bitcoin address privkey is based on a 256 bit random number, you could simply use a 256 bit rand and create a bitcoin privkey directly from that.  In that case, each segment of the key would have 25 or 26 bits, which might not be enough security for you.  To increase security, you could use a 1000 bit rand so that each segment has 100 bits.  Then derive the privkey from the 1000 bit number, perhaps by simply hashing it down to 256 bits using sha256sum (the way bitaddress.org does it).

Very good  Cool
I talked about the Split Wallet feature of bitaddress yesterday (which uses the Shamir's Secret Sharing algorithm AFAIK)
But I prefer your DIY and trustless way, moreover I think it's more convenient and discreet to share numbers or 'real' words(brain wallet) with other people, or to store for yourself, than hexadecimal or base 64 strings...  Tongue

You can do almost the same thing for free by using the Split Wallet feature of bitaddress.org and sending one key to someone else.

Can’t you just keep the old phone & put the sim card back into it when you need to use crypto services to get the 2fa text or whatever?
