If you hadn't have done your God's Work I can assure you somebody else would have, so settle down over there, Edison.

Go fuck yourself.

Yes, it is true that, had I not done so, some other would have. But I did. If some ignorant nobody is going to attack me with a slanderous claim of tech luddism, I am going to put them straight.

Incidentally, why do you feel compelled to comment upon this, which has absolutely nothing to do with you whatsoever?
So what is it you did? Let's just get it out of the way, this is stupid drama.

Yeh lets abandon the Bitcoin Network and jump on xrp version 2 lightning network (LN) instead.

I beg your pardon ?

Lightning IS Bitcoin.

Lightning transactions are not on chain, so they are therefore not Bitcoin transactions. So if LN txs are not Bitcoin txs, it follows that ...

I'm not trying to claim that LN is useless. It will likely have benefits for some limited applications. But to pin BTC's future on it when simpler methods were available... smh.

Going to have to pull you up on that one mate... LN Opens and Closed channel onchain. therefore they are BTC transactions.

Just no. The opening and the closing are Bitcoin transactions. All the in-channel transactions are NOT Bitcoin transactions. Sorry. This should be obvious.

Quote
On another note, i don't know why people are discounting LN. This is some awesome development/technology. What you see now may be different in 5 -10 years from now, there alot of smart people with forward thinking minds.

I'm only 'discounting' LN against the absurd claims made for it. As a layer 2 protocol, I'm completely whatevs with whatever all y'all want to do with a layer 2 thingy. The galling thing is that the underlying base protocol was intentionally crippled in order to implement LN. The fact that such crippling wasn't even necessary only adds insult to injury, and calls into question the motives and wisdom of those who advocated for such.

We will see which "peer to peer payment" system will survive in 30 - 40 years from now.

I think we will see that having such a massive database was the death of BCH.

BTC without Layer 2 Scaling has more of a chance!

I just notice that certain people in this forum engage in this exact same behavior. They truly believe they are God's gift to mankind and are better than everybody else, so much so that they need to constantly remind others of this. I'm pretty sure its a neuropsychological problem or some deep-seeded behavioral issue, so its not really your fault. Just interesting identifying patterns in human behavior.

(...)

So this bcash shill, big block fanboy who tries to tell naive folks in bitcoin forums they should abandon their valuable btc and buy this scammy shitcoin is still around here?

Well, there goes the respect I had for you. You better check your fucking assumptions, boyo. I have never advocated that people abandon their BTC for BCH or SV. The fact that I advocate the big block branches of the Bitcoin family tree -- from a technical viewpoint -- does not make me someone who tries to talk anyone into anything. Except maybe being a bit more discerning.

I recall that you did actually exactly that. you advised newbies they should sell btc and buy bigblog-scamcoins. Somewhat ironic that back then, when i pointed it out to you, i was stating that this made me lose the respect i had for you.

If you love bcash so much and hate btc so much, why the fuck are you here? It is no bcash forum. And you will not get anyone convinced of the shit you are posting about. Technically... technically.. t e c h n i c a l l y bcash is worth 3% of bitcoin. you have lost. all others big blockers went away because they knew they lost. but you are still here, repeating the same crab that no one believes like a broken record.

to me the only conclusion: paid shill. and your reaction is telling the same story.

oh, and thanks for being such a celebrity computer engineer.

You can now send Bitcoin tips over Lightning on Twitter Smiley

Quote
the beta app Tippin has released a new Chrome Extension available to Google browser users. Over Twitter, app users can send bitcoin payments via the Lightning Network, considered a way to make bitcoin transactions feasible at a large scale for the first time

https://www.coindesk.com/you-can-now-send-bitcoin-tips-over-lightning-on-twitter

Jack dorsey does not fuck around... whoaza... that was quick.

Up and running in beta, it works great. If you use Twitter this opens up a whole new user experience.

I don't think that would be death as that means it would be used continously to fill up to a large blockchain that isn't an issue with modern technology.

It would just be pruned but now is that something the BCH ideological group can deal with? I still believe BCH is at it's core an ideology of everything being on the chain. It isn't due to Satoshi, it isn't due to tech, they just think that changing that main core belief will lead to a crumbling future. If they give up on that in their mind what keeps supply from being next, or irreversible transactions.

I just don't see how micro transactions need to be on the network, the lightning network does essentially a preventative pruning.
