Alright boys and girls, action time!   Just feeling it  Wink

Called at $4170.  Full credit.
Thanks, cheers!  I still feel surprised when it actually happens. Probably be a trader if I could make calls in the other direction. Delusions and such.  Wink

Bitcoin Erupts As Short Positions Are Wiped Out
https://cryptobriefing.com/bitcoin-erupts-shorts-wiped/

So breaking 4,200 was it ? That's all we needed ?
5,500 at the end of the week ?

"Traders reacted to the news with cautious optimism. A few pundits suggested that the movement was led by bots, mistaking April Fool’s articles for real market sentiment.

In particular, Finance Magnates published a prank announcement that the SEC had approved Bitcoin ETFs, an issue which has sparked strong price reactions in the past. Some think this explains why Bitcoin seems to be leading the charge.

But the market move came sixteen hours after the FM story was published. If April Fool’s articles had had any discernible effect on the market, as some have said, algorithmic traders would have reacted far faster to the news. It would have been a matter of minutes, not a whole day.

George Harrap, the co-founder and CEO of Bitspark, believes it was probably a “natural move,” rather than a knee-jerk reaction by bots. Noting that Bitcoin is currently trading for $200 more on BitMEX than on conventional exchanges, Harrap suggests the movement was led by leveraged traders.

“This rules out any moves by local fiat exchanges or institutional influence,” Harrap wrote in an email. “It’s more of a natural move as compared with the price movements in 2018 where it seemed that too much was sold off.”
...
David Thomas, director of the crypto-brokerage firm GlobalBlock, argues that the price gained momentum due to technical trading. $4,200 was a “key level” for Bitcoin, he explained, one which it had been unable to break this year.

Short traders identified this level, and calibrated their positions to exit at that price.  When bitcoin broke past this morning, it triggered all the stops on short positions, removing resistance. This, Thomas believes, “exacerbated the move higher,” allowing Bitcoin to suddenly surge up to $4,800 within a relatively short space of time.
...
Thomas said some bullish traders are already predicting BTC at $5,500 as early as this coming week."

8 Reasons Why Bitcoin Looks Even Better Than in 2017

https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-7-reasons-better-than-2017/

-Better Fundamentals
Quote
Bitcoin usage has been steadily climbing for 15 months. Transactions, hash rate are all up despite the ‘Crypto Winter’ and 1MB+ Bitcoin block sizes are now the new normal.
-More Fiat On-Ramps
-Fewer Scams
-Proven Use-Cases
Quote
Bitcoin is proving its worth not just as a store of value, but also as a means of payment in many places, especially Venezuela. In countries affected by high inflation, like South Africa and Turkey, in fact, Bitcoin is proving to be a lifeline to them as well
-Bitcoin is Scaling
Quote
The Lightning Network is making amazing progress, hitting already 1,000 BTC capacity (or $4.2 million). Bitcoin’s layer two scaling solution looks to be unstoppable making mindblowing progress in just over a year.
Once mass adoption kicks in, there won’t be the bottlenecks, high fees, lengthy wait times, and collapses that we had to experience back then.
-More Bitcoin ATMs Worldwide
-More Key Personalities at the Top
-$20,000+ is Realistic

When page parity?

When post parity, that'd be something Cheesy

So its actually gone through boundaries like these fib levels, through the 200 day MA which is surprising for first attempt.   5200 would the upside target from here and maintaining above 4730 very bullish

So this area is the initial pause on the autumn decline and likely to be the first area for price to fight before what I think will be its eventual return to 6500 to do proper battle with that longer term previous bottom

Its only spent 6 days here so its not a giant area to be resistance but volume was far higher then normal so naturally the price contains sellers and previous trades to unravel I guess

Quote
5,500 at the end of the week ?

My guess was 4500 as a gap window, 200DMA also so an area to stage before breaking up.  Its gone way past that so its bullish into the next fight
