https://thethaiger.com/news/phuket/navy-files-report-against-seasteading-structure-off-phuketThe Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command and Phuket Marine officers yesterday inspected the seasteading structure but no one was found on the steel and aluminum structure which is attached to the sea-floor. An order to remove the ‘seasteading’ structure is now in the process of being prepared. Some photos included in the article.

Anyone have any special ops experience? We need to put together a WO squad of elite commandos for a rescue operation.
I think Elwar does, oh wait....

The newly submitted article indicates that the platform was empty when the boot showed up.
It is unclear from what I have seen whether Chad and Supranee are, in fact, in custody at this time.
Given the possible punishment here I hope they are making all sail for another jurisdiction.

Referring to claims by the couple that the seastead was set up outside Thai maritime territory, the source said the claim was untrue.
Officers, the source said, are investigating the Thai company in Phuket responsible for building the platform for possible financial misconduct. Mr Elwartowski was rich from bitcoin trading. Definitely looks like they have no case but still want to fuck it all up. I would say "bribe 'em" but I don't think that would do it, especially now that it's out. EDIT : funny that the Thai government is only mentioning this now. Like it wasn't an issue before ? Maybe some politicians are just trying to make money out of this after all.

Elwar, the Philippines has some 7000 islands, so you can pretend to be some fisherman around here, but not separate from the state unless you set up in the middle of disputed waters (not a good idea as pirates or soldiers or whatever may attack). Plus the PH Central Bank and/or CEZA (Cagayan Economic Zone Authority?) gave licenses to at least 10 crypto exchanges here. (I don't know the other 8, I only use the 2 big ones.)
here in New Zealand you need approval to do anything in our EEZ (200 miles out). its usually fishing or oil drilling but a structure like this would need approval. You might well get approval in theory for the seasteading idea but the weather is very extreme as its right out in the Pacific and I doubt something so small like this would get approval under our health and safety grounds ie there is a good chance our navy would have to rescue you so would probably be told no. Elwar you need to set up in places that are not effectively run by the Military and that also that they have some sort of judicial system where "natural justice' laws apply. I suggest you do not go back to Thailand. The New Zealand government like most governments cannot save its citizens and any assistance is minimal "The consulate will be able to assist with a list of lawyers that the person can contact, inform that person's next of kin, help arrange the transfer of funds, and attend court hearings as observers."

Anything that could potentially undermine the power of the state gets crushed. Kudos to you Elwar for being a pioneer. It is just fucking unbelievable Bitcoin is around.

I'm in a dark mood right now, like in the picture. And the stupidest thing is that I can't understand why it's like this. The price of an BTC seems to be growing gradually, but I am still sad for some reason.

Good Morning WO brothers! Nice pump overnight, hopefully we reach a new yearly high for 2019 this week. Everything seems positive at the moment, no sign of any negativity or reasons for bearish price movements.
Have a great week everybody in the HODL brotherhood!

France Passes Bill to Allow Insurance Providers to Invest In Crypto & TokensKnown as “Plan d’action pour la croissance et la transformation des entreprises,” (Pacte) the act reportedly allows insurance providers in France to invest in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) with no limit on the amount of investment.
According FXStreet, a dual provision of the act enables insurers to invest in crypto through specialized professional funds, and allows them to offer life insurance policies exposed to crypto. The new measure will also impact professional capital investment funds. The with no limit on the amount of investment worries me.. We haven seen many individuals get into gambling behavior with crypto. Most likely insurance providers will do the same. @Elwar, hope you are safe and things don't get too complicated.
