Now is the perfect time for me to come out and say something bearish and point at some line on a chart.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Slid back a little I see...$744USD/$1002CAD.

Hopefully we won't stagnate here for too long.

$744? where the heck did you see 744? It's $730 and keep dropping.

Bitcoinaverage.

Yes it's dropping... currently $743.

Then you are looking at the wrong place, check out bitstamp and bitfinex.

Hahahaha

I hate to agree with someone who is coming off as a kind of alphanumeric bot troll, but I tend to agree that picking one or two USD/BTC exchanges bitstamp, bitfinex or even GDAX tends to be a bit more representative of what is happening, as compared with Bitcoin Average.  Bitcoin average tends to move a bit more laggedly (if that is a word?), and sometimes when we are watching volatility dynamics and even attempting to predict price direction(s), we need some measurements that are more "in-touch" with on the ground dynamics - which are the exchanges themselves.  On the other hand, if you are just looking at a kind of average for the whole day.. blah blah blah, then bitcoin average is probably not a bad rough indicator.

Now is the perfect time for me to come out and say something bearish and point at some line on a chart.

You go girl!!!!    Cheesy   Wink

We're still looking bullish.

Going below 720 on stamp and I'll be cautious.

Maybe you're looking in the wrong place. It's $754 on Huobi. Even higher at Localbitcoins or any Indian exchange.

I use Bitcoinaverage as my principal reference because they average prices from all exchanges weighted to volumes, ignoring volumes from zero-fee exchanges.

The price of Bitcoin on Huobi is like 'the price of tea in China'.

This goes directly into my personal hall of fame.  Grin Grin Grin

Yes, I also go with Bitcoin Average since there are so many different prices around.
The BTC/ZAR pair on bitx.co is at a crazy $801.10

We all would love that now

I thought you were going to point at lines on a chart, Tera?

Now you're teasing, cryptically so.

Point at chart lines, go on.... "Which way now, Miss?"

Wink

EDIT: Chinese exchange chart lines don't count Smiley

Don't you guys think that after all those failed attempts to brake resistance at 5400 yuan, and with Christmas coming, it is time for an epic dump?

After all those failed dumps?

True. Let's see what happens at the next test of the resistance....
Last chance to sell at 740 ...

Last chance to buy at 740 ...

I know for sure that if I sell it will go up
and if I hold the price will go down

Ascending wedge. Higher lows after each dump. Defending seller gets growing difficulties in buying back bitcoins they've sold.

Perfect, so I can understand that no worries over here, am I right ?

Also, what do you think about the recent dip, is it another correction or some bearish news I didn't hear about ?

Thank you  Smiley

It was very well coordinated dump to coincide at the same time with:
IRS attack on Coinbase
difficulty rise
push to revive blocksize debate
tx spam attack
eth fork

But bitcoin is a train that can't be stopped.

I agree with you, so we will reach a threshold where all those sellers will be sucked in and the rocket will be north-skyrocketing, am I right ?

Plus, can this dump be considered as shaking weak hands which equals to whales harvesting (cheap coins) until we move to our next station ?

Do you agree with me that this correction will end in matter of 1-2 days ?

Much questions I know, but a learner here Smiley

Yeah CENT worked for me also....

So, the upcoming 'merican holiday approaching, do we sell or buy? 2013 the price continued upwards until the following Friday, I sacrificed 0.134 BTC today for Amazon gift card. Go Bitcoin!!!

Edit:

Looks like the backlog getting higher. My gift card purchase still hasn't confirmed, I spent the funds already though.

The fees show 11,985 BTC 0.o ?
